The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region

The Var department is situated west of its famous neighbour Côte d’Azur. With its beautiful landscape of both mountains and sea and its sunny Mediterranean weather it is a popular holiday destination all year round.
Along its 300-km long coast, you will find some stylish seaside resorts like glitzy St Tropez and Ste Maxime, as well as some smaller but equally beautiful and charming resorts like Bandol or Le Lavandou.

The beautiful Iles d'Or (Porquerolles, Ile du Levant and Pors Cros) are also well worth a visit and can be reached by boat from La Tour Fondue near Hyères. Inland, you will find delightful and unspoilt hilltop villages, green oak forests and further to the north, the breathtaking Gorges du Verdon with its many water sports and activities. A visit to the Abbaye du Tholonet while the monks sing their evensong can be a most relaxing break from the bustling beaches.

The Var region is particularly well known for its Rosé wine and a good fresh Bandol is well worth a meal in a seafront restaurant. The local Gastronomy is bursting with fresh herbs and full provencal flavours.

Villecroze area

Situated between Draguignan (21 km) and Aups (8 km), at the crossroads of the D557 and D51 and backed by the foothills of the Alpes de Provence. In a magnificent décor of pine and oak trees, Villecroze is a charming medieval village, capital of the Verdon region, perched 350m above sea level away from the sweltering heat of the Côte d'Azur.

It has many sites to explore, including famous caves, canyons, waterfalls and La Commanderie des Templiers.

Closest airport: Nice - around 1 hour.
Budget airline: Easy jet.
Marseille airport - around 2 hours, Easy jet and Ryan air.
Smaller airport in Toulon.

Ferries from Marseille to other mediterranean countries such as Tunisia, Italy,
Italy 2 hours.

Local transport - bus service runs along most of the coast. Buses from Draguignan, Nice, Toulon.

Minimum rental period is one week. Rentals run from Saturday 4 - 8pm to Saturday 10am.

To reserve you need to send 25% of the total amount. Balance payable 30 days before the beginning of your stay.

Included in the rates: Bed linen, bath towels and tea towels provided (1 pack/stay).
3-hours mid week cleaning included (Wednesdays 1pm to 4 pm)
Change of linen for stays over 1 week (on Saturdays).

Not included in the rates:
End of stay cleaning: 150€/stay

The house is for a maximum of 12 persons.
