19th Century Villa with pool sleeps 7 is located in Villecroze near Draguignan, France.
Delightful country house situated north of StTropez and 4km from Tourtour near the Gorges du Verdon Canyon. the villa was built in the mid 1800s and is in the charming medieval village of Villecroze, a few km from Salernes famous for its terracotta tiles, Aups and Tourtour "the village in the sky" and its stunning views.
It is 30 minutes drive from the Verdon Canyon and Ste Croix Lake, 45 minutes from the beach at St Maxime and 1 hour from St Tropez with its facinating harbour and nightlife. Nice Côte d'Azur airport 1h 20 .
The area is also a painter and photographer's delight, nearby is the Gorges du Verdon Europe's largest and most spectacular canyon known for its beauty, children's and adults can enjoy boating, rafting, canoening, and mountain biking. In the lake you will enjoy sailing, windsurfing, swimming and kayaking.
Provencal markets are all around if you wish with a different one to visit every day. Surrounding villages are truly authentic Provencal and you will enjoy wine tasting at the many Chateaux located within a very short distance of the house. The Villa is situated in the neighborhood in the country-side on the hills north of St Tropez, the village of Villecroze is an authentic, unspoiled, medieval Provencal village (first known roman constructions are from 1st to 5th century a.d., Templar's had an important "Commanderie" next to the village) Its perfect location and its micro-climate makes Villecroze a much appreciated Holiday and residential area.
The villa has been completely renovated and is harmoniously furnished with 900s style and antique furniture. We have two large rooms and one suite all with en-suite bathrooms,1900 style decorated with refinement and character and marvelous views. On the ground floor the house has a living room with open antique fireplace with TV satellite + video available and a cozy large fully equipped kitchen with dining area facing south and the pool.
Terrace next to the pool is 150 m2 under a pergola giving shade. Private pool 11 x 5 m, alarm and security fence in a 6000 m2 garden, the property is in the village and only 200 m away from village shops and restaurants.

Each summer the internationally known Academy de Musique of Villecroze is performing free concerts in the local historical site of Chapelle St Victor. There are a great selection of Golf courses within 25 minutes drive. In winter the villa is located less then 2 hours drive from the ski slopes.

Further details indoors: BEDROOM 1, Lys, sleeping 2 is facing south and is located in first floor, has an ensuite bathroom and toilets, a king size bed (160 cm wide) and is decorated in 1900 style with refinement and character. Room 1 is 20 m2 large.Two large windows are overlooking the terrace and the pool and have a beautiful view over the garden.
BEDROOM 2, Absynthe, sleeps 2 and is on the 2nd floor and has a king size bed (160 cm wide), its private shower room with toilets ; it has a panoramic view with 2 windows facing south and breathtaking views over the wild country surroundings, a third window is facing west and opening on stunning sunsets. Room 2 is 21 m2 large .
BEDROOM 3, Gentiane, is a suite on second floor and sleeps 3. Bedroom 3 has it king size bed (160 cm) plus a single bed, its private shower room with toilets; first window is opening east and facing Villecroze hydillic village, the second facing west opens a delicious view over the wines and olives trees in the garden. Room 3 is 28 m2 large.
Rooms and suites are equipped with fridge ,TV ,aircon and mobile fans.Complimentary drinks are served to guests at their arrival ,local AOC Rosé wine bottle is offered to guests.
Further details outdoors: Garden is 6000 m2 all closed and planted with fruit trees, olive trees, pines, oleanders, cypresses and wine trees grown, fruits with integrated/organic crop management are available for the guests (in season). There are many shady areas for relaxing.
Guests have an 11 x 5 m pool with alarm and fence protection for children's and solar cover heated from April to October, available with comfortable teack deck chairs and parasols surrounding the pool.
A large shaded terrace by a pergola is in front of the house facing south, there is an ample shaded secure parking with electric coded gates, there are very nice evening lights in the garden and pool.
Further details
Arrival : 5pm Departure : 11 am owner (Beatrice) living in a separate part of the property and caring about pool cleaning and watering. Due to very strict regulation no BBQ are allowed in summer time.
Conditions
Renting price includes pool maintenance (twice a week) and gardener, daily cleaning upon request (contact the owner for quote). Deposit (non refundable) is 30% to be paid at the time of booking, balance 8 weeks prior to arrival . Refundable breakages deposit of 600 € required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection) . End cleanining will be invoiced at 120 euros rate and deducted from deposit.
