The charming rural house “La Cerra” consists of a self-contained apartment (sleeps 2-4) and a stone house (sleeps 8-10) to be rented together or independently.

This property is very suitable for all kinds of celebrations, families and groups. It is located in the heart of the cider region in one of the most beautiful spots in the East-Central area of Asturias.

The house was built in 1997 and has been lodging many visitors of the Villaviciosa municipality all the year round since then.

The house is a two story building, equipped with complete bathroom and TV.

The apartment has DVD. Also available: wifi, car park, garden, barbecue, terrace and porch. Located at 4km from España beach.

The Asturias region

Villaviciosa se encuentra geográficamente en la zona centro-oriental de Asturias, a 30 minutos de los grandes núcleos urbanos de Oviedo y Gijón. Bañado por el mar Cantábrico y salpicado por los típicos valles de la región, se configura como un lugar privilegiado y reseña de un paraíso natural donde vivir. Es en este lugar en el que se puede visitar la Reserva Natural de la Ría de Villaviciosa, magnífico ecosistema de marisma, considerado como la segunda zona del Principado de ivernada y reposo migratorio de las poblaciones europeas de aves acuáticas. Otro lugar muy interesante es el yacimiento de Icnitas (Costa Jurásica), las cuales presentar un conjunto de características que hacen de ellas un ejemplo único a la hora de reconstruir lo que fue la vida de los dinosaurios del Jurásico superior. El arte y la arquitectura es otro de los grandes reclamos turísticos que Villaviciosa tiene. En esta región pueden contemplarse numerosos monumentos de lo que se conoce como prerrománico asturiano, que floreció con Alfonso II el Casto (789-842) y su hijo Ramiro (842-850), y que supuso grandes diferencias arquitectónicas con respecto a lo que se estaba realizando en el resto de Europa durante la misma época. Una de las joyas arquitectónicas de este periodo es la Iglesia de San Salvador de Valdediós, el Conventín, monumento nacional desde 1931 y declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1985. Avanzando hasta el periodo románico hay que decir que Villaviciosa es un lugar sobresaliente, por cantidad y calidad. De entre las numerosas y valiosas creaciones románicas destaca por encima de todas la iglesia de San Juan Bautista de Amandi. En definitiva, esta localidad, que junto con otras forma el llamado Valle de la Sidra, dispone de un entorno de gran riqueza natural y medioambiental, donde se asienta, además, un abundante patrimonio histórico-artístico.

El entorno natural, artístico e histórico de la región de Villaviciosa invita a realizar numerosas actividades, desde deportes al aire libre hasta la visita de algunos de los monumentos románicos más importantes de España: - Paseos en bicicleta. - Senderismo. - Talleres medioambientales. - Seguimiento del curso del río Merón hasta la playa Merón, en el que podrán contemplar distintos molinos de agua.
