Gite St Béatrice is in a tiny hamlet, set in open countryside, with great views towards the Luberon and Mont Ventoux.
It’s actually only 1km to the typically Provencal village of Villars, where you‘ll find a few shops, bars and restaurants. The location is ideal if you want some peace and quiet, fresh air and a base to explore Provence.
This old farm building has been completely renovated and is now a cosy and comfortable 1-bedroom gite, great for a couple. The owner has retained many original features and created a living room with corner kitchen, a double bedroom and a shower room with toilet.
If you visit during the summer months you’ll probably spend most of your time outside on the small and private terrace, complete with garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for long lunches with a glass of Rose.

Directly from the gite you can get out and about in the countryside, as you are centrally located between the Luberon hills to the south and Mont Ventoux to the North. Both areas are well known for great cycling and walking tracks, there’s excellent rock climbing nearby at Buoux.
If you are feeling really energetic, tennis courts are available in the local village of St Saturnin, horse riding and windsurfing just 5km away, plus hang-gliding, fishing and Golf nearby. Alternatively, how about a gentle game of boules with the locals, under the shaded trees, accompanied with a glass of local Pastis!
If visiting is your thing, you really are spoilt for choice. From the Roman architecture at Arles, the Palace of Popes at Avignon, and the cultured avenues of Aix en Provence to the local vineyards, the Carmargue National Park and the Regional Park of the Luberon, there really is too much to do in one visit.
Villars area
Despite its secluded location, your gite is only a 1KM walk away from the nearest village of Villars. Here you’ll find the boulangerie, cafes and some local stores.
There are plenty more shops and supermarkets just a few Km in the larger town of Apt, but if you fancy a more traditional approach, there are some great local Paysan Markets. Every day of the week, in a host of villages nearby, local growers gather to sell their produce; Springtime brings fresh strawberries, green and white asparagus, cherries in May and June, with tomatoes olives garlic and courgettes all grown locally and available practically all year round.

The compact fitted kitchen has pretty much everything you could need during your holiday; fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, ample crockery /utensils etc.
The owner has transformed a small outbuilding into a ‘laundry room’ with washing machine, iron etc. This is shared with the adjacent holiday property.
The living area has a sofa bed and satellite TV and outside there’s garden dining furniture.

Included in the rental prices are water, electricity and tax de sejour.

There is an end of stay cleaning charge of 20 euros, payable locally to the owner.
The owner asks for a 'caution' (security damage deposit) of 300-euro payable upon arrival. This will be returned to you at the end of your holiday, less the cost of any damage or breakages.

Please arrive after 4pm on day of arrival and leave before 10am on your day of departure.
