Chalet Faucon (at 1428 metres) is a 127m2 south west facing penthouse on three levels situated near the top of the exclusive Domaine de la Residence above Villars. There are stunning views of the “Dents du Midi” mountain, Villars itself and the valley below.
The property is ski in/ski out to the Telecabine Roc d’Orsay and comprises three double bedrooms (one is large with two single beds and a sofa on the mezzanine floor ideal for children but part open to living room), large open plan living room with log fireplace, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There are two balconies, under floor heating, an internal garage space and communal washing and drying machines. Access is by lift directly into the apartment.

Villars, Switzerland / Domaine de la Residence area
Situated at 1300 metres in the heart of a majestic panorama overlooking the Rhone Valley, facing the Dents du Midi and the Muverans mountain chain, Villars is an all year round exclusive and family orientated resort and offers its guests an inspiring view of the Alps, enjoying a micro climate of its own resulting in lots of sunshine throughout the year.
The village is small and compact with no high rise blocks, shops and restaurants to suit most pockets and with a choice of bars and clubs for an enjoyable night life. There are three indoor and many outdoor tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, ice skating rink, bowling alley and a cinema.
For ski-ing and snow boarding, access to the slopes at Bretaye and beyond is either from the Telecabine Roc d’Orsay or the ski train from the bus/train station in the centre. There are 71 ski-lifts and 225 kms of marked slopes in the interconnecting Villars Glacier 3000 area with all year round skiing plus 44 kms of cross-country ski trails and snow shoe paths. There are two well known ski schools for instruction and guides and children under 9 are given free ski passes. There is an all day crèche and an adjacent nursery lift for the young ones. Other well known ski resorts nearby are Verbier (45 mins), Les Portes du Soleil (45 mins) and Gstaad (1 hour).
In summer, there are more than 300 kms of marked walking trails to numerous small alpine hamlets and 130 kms of all terrain bicycle trails. There are two golf courses within 30 minutes, several adventure parks nearby, horse riding, paragliding, rock climbing to mention just some of the attractions.
Nearby, are numerous interesting attractions to suit most tastes, Montreux and the Jazz festival, Vevey, Lausanne and Geneva for shopping with the French border (45 minutes by car) and the Italian cities of Turin and Milan are a comfortable drive away.
How to get there
Villars is a pleasant family orientated resort perched upon a South facing sunny plateau above the Rhone Valley near Montreux.
It is less than 90 minutes from Geneva airport by motorway and there is a good express train service from the airport (change trains in Bex or take the post bus from Aigle).
Snow tyres and/or snow chains are necessary in winter and can be rented with hire cars.
