The Swiss Alps / Vaud/Lake Geneva/Swiss Alps region
Located above the Vineyards of Bex & Ollon in the French speaking part of Switzerland the region has a huge variety of things to do. In Winter there are 220 kms of skiing on the doorstep but also convenient access to Verbier (45 mins) and Portes Du Soliel (40mins) for those wanting variety.
In summer ' The Swiss Riviera' around the lake is just 30 minutes away with festivals such as the Montreaux Jazz taking place in July. The lake and its surrounding mountains and resorts makes a great alternative to the traditional 'Beach Holiday' as one can combine Sunshine with as much or as little activity as you like.
Villars, Switzerland / Gryon area
In Winter Villars enjoys a ski season with 220 kms of skiing including The Diablarets Glacier for snow sure conditions. The sunny slopes have breathtaking views and there are many quaint places to eat. In additional kids under 9 ski free! and there are a variety of snow shoe/ski mountaineering trials as well as extensive cross country tracks.
In Summer the free access pass is unique. All the facilities of Villars/Gryon are open for use without charge, This includes the funicular railway, the gondolas the outdoor swimming pools, the golf driving range.
How to get there
Ferry/Eurotunnel : Around 550 miles drive (8 hours) from most ferry arrival points.
Train: Eurostar/TGV to Lausanne then connect to Villars funicular to within 700 metres of Chalet.
Air: Geneva Airport is 110kms (1.5 hours) drive.

Further details indoors: Chalet is on 3 levels, the mid level features a large modern living space with Jotul Designer Fire and Natuzzi Leather sofas. Direct access to terrace and armchair views through 3 sets of double doors which south facing bring the sunshine into the room.
There is a very modern kitchen with the usual appliances and 2 dining spaces.
At the lower level is the master suite with super king double bed, en suite bathroom and also double doors to allow views and access to the chalet garden.
The upper level features a double and large twin also with double doors to a balcony then a smaller twin (ideal for children) and a house bathroom.
Further details outdoors: Large wrap around terrace to living area, lower terrace and private garden. Parking space in private drive and lower garage if required.

We thought the chalet was simply wonderful. You've obviously given a great deal of thought to the layout, the decor, and the fixtures and fittings. The atmosphere was homely yet luxurious, a difficult combination to get right. The views from the chalet are simply breathtaking, and the location quiet and peaceful. A fantastic place to return to after a long day exploring the many stunning locations around the area. I'd recommend both the chalet and the area, without hesitation, to anyone considering a holiday in that part of the world, and without doubt we'll be back next summer, or before if we manage to squeeze a week in the winter as well. "
