IN WINTER: The apartment is only a 10 minute walk to the blue piste down to the Telecabine and bus connection to Villars station where the train to Bretaye can be taken.
IN SUMMER/AUTUMN: Walk from the apartment to connect with hiking trails offering superb views in the mountains. Use the train and gondolas to extend the network of paths.

Villars is set in the Alpes Vaudoise region of Switzerland - only 20 minutes drive to Lake Geneva (also called Lac Leman). The wonderful towns of Montreux, Lausanne and Evian can be easily reached from the apartment. Fully south facing, Villars forms part of the excellent wine-growing region enjoying sunshine all day long. Chateau de Chillon is an excellent local attraction and the thermal baths at Levey les Bains offer a truly relaxing experience during the warmer months.
The Villars, Switzerland / Domaine de la Residence area
Closer to Villars are the towns of Ollon - which offers a Jazz and wine festival in September each year, Aigle complete with a Chateau housing a wine museum and Bex, renowned for its salt mine.
The ski area centres around Bretaye (1800m) accessed by train or telecabine which are both within walking distance of the apartment. The link with Les Diablerets gives easy access to over 120km of pistes including the glacier at 3,000m which enables you to ski even in the summer. With the General Ski Pass, this can be further extended to cover the Super-Gstaad region with over 550kms of pistes.
