The Swiss Alps / Vaud/Lake Geneva/Swiss Alps region
Villars is ideally located on the south facing slopes of the beautiful Swiss Alps in the french speaking Vaud area.
Situated just to the east of Montreux and lake Geneva, Villars has its own extensive ski area, but it is also connected by frequent rail and bus links to Champery (for Porte du Soleil) and Diablerets (for Glacier 3000).
In the spring when the snow melts, the flowers blossom and the cow bells can be heard around the mountains, the area is a great venue for mountain-biking, para-gliding and walks in stunning scenery.
All this yet only 20 minutes from the Swiss riviera on the shores of Lake Geneva with cruises across to Evian and the medieval town of Yvoire in France or stopping off at Lausanne or Montreux and the historic Chateau Chillon.

Villars is one of Switzerland's best kept secrets. It is a traditional village with a vibrant atmosphere which offers a wonderful choice of quality restaurants, trendy bars, cafes and shops.

In summer the lift and railway system serves the many walkers, mountain-bikers and climbers who can take advantage of the stunning alpine views and wonderful mountain restaurants and cafes.
If all this is not enough, try ice-skating in a flood-lit stadium, play golf on one of Europe's highest 18 hole courses, or just jump off a mountain on a hang glider!
