The heart of the chalet is the spectacular double height 50sqm living space with south facing 'wall of glass' centred round a large open fire with TV above. Cable and films on demand available. A chill-out mezzanine space is accessed by pull-out ladder stair from the living space, and off is the beautifully appointed contemporary kitchen. Nespresso coffee machine of course! Double doors lead to a large south and west facing terrace.
All rooms have en suite facilities, two with bath and shower over, two with double showers. Each room has a TV for DVDs and an iPod docking station. Tea making facilities, boutique toiletries, robes and slippers complete the luxurious feel of the bedrooms.
Downstairs is a treatment room/ gym where you can enjoy a massage or a row if you haven't had enough exertion on the slopes!
The Mezzanine space provides a separate sitting area and has a double futon for additional guests. We also have one or two cots so please enquire if you would like to bring more than 8 to our chalet.

The Swiss Alps / Vaud/Lake Geneva/Swiss Alps region
The Vaud lake/ mountain region is an ideal all-year-round holiday destination with outdoor activities available in the summer and winter seasons. The lake area is known as the Swiss Riviera and is known for its micro-climate of long hot summers. When the weather turns, sun is always available on the mountain slopes.
There are many places of interest a short drive from the chalet, including Chateau du Chillon, Montreux and Lausanne, the Swiss Water Parc, and of course France and Italy are both within an easy hours drive.
Villars, Switzerland / Gryon area
Villars is a beautiful mountain town with 'history' (rather than man-made for skiing) on a natural balcony with direct views of Mont Blanc. It sits above the Rhone valley and is a place to enjoy a wide range of activities in winter and summer.
In winter, all the winter sports are available, and in summer the mountains are alive with walkers, bike riders, horse riders and golfers. Villars offers a Summer Pass which gains access to tennis, swimming, golf and local trains and cable cars, and for the more adventurous hot air ballooning, paintballing and other adventure sports are available.
It is said of Switzerland in general, and Villars in particular, one comes for the winters but stays for the summers. Truly a dual season resort.
How to get there
Fly to Geneva with BA or EasyJet. Villars-Gryon is 90 minutes by car and around 2.5 hours by train.
Car hire can be found at the airport, www.gva.ch, and train information at www.sbb.ch.
From the centre of Villars the chalet is a 10 to 15 minute drive: detailed directions will be given on enquiry. (A free bus runs between the chalet and the centre of Villars and the centre of Gryon throughout the season).

Further details indoors: Beautifully appointed: everyone should feel comfortable. Twin rooms can be set up as two single beds in each room, or one double in each room. Great space: everyone can find their own privacy. Everything though of: we think.
Further details outdoors: The chalet is on a 1500sqm plot accessed by private lit driveway. There is parking for 3/4 cars plus one covered space about 100m away. The drive is cleared after each snow-fall.
The ski bus stops at the bottom of the drive for transfer to the Barbaleuse Telecabine (5 mins) and Villars train station (10 mins) for access to the lift hub at Bretaye.
There is a children's park within view of the chalet and a large terrace to enjoy sun-downers.
Conditions
Chalet is booked week to week, Saturday to Saturday. Smoking outside only please. 50% deposit required to confirm booking.
