The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Torrevieja is the nearest major town and is 15 minuites drive away. It is surrounded by salt lakes and as a result is meant to be very heallthy especially for people with arthritus. Torrevieja has a lovely Harbour with numerous tapas bars, restaurants and shops. Another worth while drive is to visit Cartagena with the casle over looking the sea.
Villamartin / Brias y Golf III area
Beaches-The apartment is perfectly placed for many local beaches including La Zenia,Caba Roig,Campoarmor and Torre de la Horadada.With many quiter coves to explore locally and further a field. These beaches are famous for their long stretches of soft white sand and sparkling clear mediterranean Sea and they have European Blue Flag status for clean beaches. Other local activities include go-karting,swimming,tennis,cycling, quad biking, fishing, horse riding and bowling. There are 2 theme parks to the north of Alicante-Terra Natura and Mundomar. Also on saturdays their is a local market within waling distance.
How to get there
Nearest Airport is Murcia -20mins away and Alicante 40 mins away, both serviced by Ryanair,BMI Baby & EasyJet, all from many UK airports.
Carhire is recommended to explore this beautiful region and many top class beaches, with many carhire companies at both airports. It is worth bearing in mind that carhire can be collected from one airport and dropped off at the other airport, as flights can be cheaper going into one airport but leaving from the other, and depending on flight times this can result in getting an extra days holiday.
Taxis cost 35 & 50 Euros from the Airports, should you decide that you prefer to stay local.
