Golfers paradise! Good safe beaches 10 min drive. Ideal location for visiting Alicante to Cartagena and from the coast to the mountains. Even Benidorm is only an hour and a half away!

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Nearby Alicante is the main airport where people arrive and then pass on to their destination. They miss one of the best cities in the area! To the south there is Cartegena, an old Roman town also influenced by a few other conquering nations. In the next region, but nearby, is Murcia which is a large city. All are well worth a visit.
In between there is the coastal area with many, many good beaches. Inland there are foothills, mountains, lakes, natural parks and villages where tourism has not yet made a great impact.
Rated as one of the healthiest regions of Spain due to the nearby Salt Lakes, the climate is warm all year round with some rain (but not much) in the winter months.
Villamartin / Villamartin Plaza area
Villamartin Plaza is THE place to dine out, be entertained or just drink . Chill out after a hard day on the golf course, on the beach or touring around. A different eatery for every day. Outdoor markets are held every day in a different town nearby. See free newspapers for details.
Retail therapy is available in Dos Mares (San Pedro), Habaneras (Torrevieja), Alicante and Murcia. Details of the championship golf courses and bowling clubs are available.
How to get there
Nearest airports are Murcia (about 25 mins), Alicante (about 45 mins) Easyjet, Ryanair, Jetairfly,BMI, Air Berlin and others, service the airports together with the regular airlines.
A car is not essential but would be desirable if planning to go to the beach or tour around. Taxis service the area. We can arrange car hire and airport pick up and return (you pay the car hire firm or driver direct).
