About the home

The apartment is comfortably furnished and well equipped with everything you might need for a relaxing holiday. The balcony overlooks a peaceful park area so you can sit or eat outside without being overlooked. And for serious sunbathing there is a solarium up top. The pool here is truly one of the best in the area, with ample gardens to sit around without tripping over other people.
If you want somewhere comfortable and not too expensive, where the weather is good and there is lots to do, as the base for a great holiday, then this is the place for you. For more details visit our website (see bottom of page).

Very comfortably furnished, with everything you might need for a relaxing holiday, the apartment comprises 2 twin bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 en suite), kitchen, lounge / dining area and balcony. The fully equipped kitchen has hob, oven, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer. The lounge has air-conditioning/heating, TV, video, DVD and a double sofa bed. The bedrooms have ceiling fans. There is a large collection of films, plus books and games. There is a mini hi fi unit with a good selection of CDs . Also a telescope for watching the stars at night.
The balcony overlooks a peaceful park area and has a patio table and 6 chairs, for dining al fresco or a quiet glass of wine and a good book. Breakfast on the balcony is a must. You can smoke on the balcony (but not inside please) and ashtrays are provided.
There are sun loungers in the apartment for use round the pool or gardens, or you can get away from it all and do a bit of sunbathing up on the large communal roof solarium.
For easy access there is a lift to the garage and the top floor.

The beautifully maintained communal pool is 100 m from the apartment and has extensive grassed areas for sunbathing, with shaded areas for when you need it. There is a shallow pool for the children and the whole area is secure, which is ideal for families.
There are numerous clean, sandy beaches ideal for swimming or paddling, just a short drive away. Also within easy reach are numerous bars, restaurants and shops. Food shopping is easy with two large supermarkets nearby.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The splendid beaches of La Zenia, Campoamor , and Cabo Roig are all approximately 5 minutes drive from Villamartin. Along the coast are many clean sandy beaches, and water-sports enthusiasts can choose from sailing and windsurfing, to deep-sea fishing and scuba diving. Inland, explore ancient castles and historic cities with Moorish origins. For the kids there is a water park and cinema complex nearby.

For a leisurely night-out, Villamartin's open-air piazza, 20 minutes walk away, offers a lively cosmopolitan mix of bars and restaurants, shops and nightclubs, in a tropical setting. You can sit in the piazza by the fountain, palm trees and exotic flowers, or take a table on the gallery above. There are also many bars and restaurants just 10 minutes walk away at Los Dolses.

The Villamartin / Los Dolses area

Villamartin is an upmarket area, perfectly situated to explore the costal areas of Torrevieja, La Manga or venture inland to the botanical gardens of Elche, and benefits from beautiful sandy beaches with shallow warm waters.

La Zenia Beach is the closest with a shuttle bus service running from Villamartin during peak season with sunbeds and parasols for hire. A more secluded beach is Cabo Roig, where there is a bar on the beach and a nice restaurant on the marina.

There are numerous local markets selling fresh produce, clothes and all sorts of goods. Always worth a visit. The Playa Flamenca market on a Saturday morning is within walking distance.

Villamartin can boast 3 main golf courses and great local amenities, including a wide range of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and banks.

Fly to Murcia airport (San Javier) or Alicante airport . Murcia airport is a 20 minute drive away and Alicante airport is about 40 minutes drive. There are plenty of budget airlines that fly to both airports including Jet2 ,Ryanair ,Excelairways ,Monarch ,Easyjet ,Flybe, Bmibaby ,Mytravellite, and others. Car rental can be booked from either airport by www.carjet.com or holidayautos.co.uk and many others.
We can offer you airport transfers to the apartment if you wish,or there are always plenty of taxis at the airports.

“AWESOME !!!” Fantastic apartment it has everything you could want and then more............ Very clean and spacious, love the balcony from the lounge and the bedroom, best apartment we have stayed in by far. The garage is a real bonus too. Los Dolces is lovely best Greek restaurant ever and Roly's breakfasts are the best. The Plaza is a lovely easy walk this place has everything, we love it.

“Immaculate with every detail thought of” This has to be the best rental property I have stayed in in Spain. The owners keep it in immaculate condition and have thought of absolutely everything you could possibly need for a stay in their property. I would recomend this accomodation to absolutely everyone. “comfortable, secure and within walking distance to villa martin plaza.” very comfortable and spacious appartment with excellent fully equipted kitchen with all thoses little extra's most holiday appts dont have. like water waiting your arrival. nice secure cool garage parking with electric doors.very comfortable lounge with lovely balcony and quiet veiws .dvd player with dvd's and books were a nice thought. the pool was constantley checked hygene wise. The surrounding garden area of the street was very well kept. the supervalue supermarket at los dolses plaza was excellent Walking distance to villa martin plaza and all its restaurants. would recommend the chinese Nanking opposite the plaza. taxi rank there too. would definately book again.

“Excellent Holiday Home” We had a wonderful and relaxed stay at Los Dolces. Very comfortable and clearly a much loved family-owned apartment. Everything worked very well and many little touches contributed to our comfortable stay. A variety of groceries in the cupboard helped ensure that were not caught-out when needing something we had not already bought. We had a car and hence access to beaches, the very nice coastal walk nearby, restaurants etc. was very convenient. A range of facilities is accessible on foot if you feel like a walk. The balcony is totally private and looks out over a park area and we ate all day-time meals out here. It catches the sun full-on and this helped a lot with our not-yet-spring February holiday. For those not familiar with the weather in this area: The weather at the beginning of February was fine for holidaying - the locals were wearing jackets but the British shorts and T-shirts. On the better days wearing a bathing costume on the balcony was the right thing to do, but most days were cooler than this. We had no significant rain. The days were warm and the evenings cool. The unit did have heating and this was fine given the temperatures we experienced (0nly just fine). My guess is mid winter could be a bit cold without additional heating. The covered parking was useful.
