The Costa Calida area has an average year round temperature of 24 degrees 320 days sunshine per year. The area has numerous beaches, golf courses and local markets.
The area boasts 7 EU blue flag beaches stretching from the old fishing town of Torrevieja including Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, Los Locos, and Playa de la Mata.
Torrevieja is complete with harbour, shops restaurants and a selection of bars and nightlife.

Located 2 km from the La Zenia roundabout / N322 coast road, this family home is a 15 minute drive from San Javier airport. It can also be reached from Alicante airport (45 minute drive) or the new Murcia Airport (due to open 2009).
Ryanair fly to Murcia, BMI fly to Alicante and Easyjet and B.Airways also run regular services.
San Javier and Alicante all have budget car rental desks that can be pre- booked. www.carjet.co.uk are a pretty good method of search.

We rented this house in 2011. We go to Spain each year. There are three of us - myself, my wife and our daughter. This was the first year we could really say we were happy with our rental. The house is in a very pleasant development called Valencia. It is close to Villa Martin and Los Dolsis where there are many shops and restaurants. The communal swimming pool is literally about 30ft from the front door. The house itself is spacious and the furniture in the living room is very comfortable. There is air con in the living room and main bedroom upstairs. It is easy to live in. Perhaps equally important, the owner and local management were very pleasant and efficient. While we were there last year, the cooker broke down. We contacted the local management and we had a new cooker installed the following day. We could not believe it. We have booked for this year again. |

The holiday was fantastic, we were really pleased. We were contacted us the night before we flew and arrangements were made to meet us at the house, which happened without any issues. We did have a few issues finding the location on the sat nav that we hired (it later transpired that there were two Villamartins – always helpful!) but we luckily had directions which got us there perfectly. The house was great, far bigger than we expected and we would have no issue accommodating our brood of four children. It is a real home from home, the washing machine and air con especially were nice touches! We found the plaza on our first evening and spent most of the following day paying for it! There is a good choice of bars and restaurants within staggering distance, we were really spoiled for choice. All in all we really enjoyed ourselves, the location was spot on, the house was lovely as was the weather, and we have already decided on a return visit with the children next year. |
