Home description

This property consists of two huge villas with a huge private pool, gardens and driveway. Amazing views over the valley of orange and lemon groves and the famous salt lakes of Torrevieja. Perfect for large groups including weddings, hen/stag parties and families holidaying together. The holiday theme is sun, sea and sangria! The beach is a 5 minute drive away and if you do not want to hire a car we have 2 mini buses that will chauffeur you around for very little.

In total we can comfortably accommodate up to 22 people in our exclusive private resort. However we have had up to 26 guests in the past, so please email if you are a huge group.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca and Costa Calida are situated on Spain's south east coast, belonging to Alicante province. We have two airports.

Alicante is the largest and handles flights from all over Europe and the UK. You can visit us in just over 2 hours.
The city and airport of Alicante are situated about 45 minutes drive north of our offices at Playa Golf near Villa-Martin and one of the largest towns along the Costa Blanca Coast.

The city of Alicante is worth exploring with its magnificent harbour as well as its large choice of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets. Here you will find a large range of shops and boutiques and many places and places of interest.

San Javier-airport is to the south of our region and covers the largely unspoilt Costa Calida .The airport is just to the north of the Mar Menor (Lesser sea) with its huge choice of Leisure activities including water sports sailing and of course golf .The airport carries the name Murcia but the city of Murcia is actually 40k inland. The airport is also serviced by flights from major cities in Europe and many budget flights from the UK.

The city of Murcia is again worth a visit for a sample of cuisine and value for money, which is harder to find on the coast. The Cathedral is out of this world! The area has welcomed visitors now for many years of which many have decided to make the area their home. From Guadamar 15 km south of Alicante with its superb beaches and night market .The town is very Spanish in feel and the side streets hide some excellent value restaurants catering for every budget.

Its Castle ruins and watchtower are also worth a visit. The next major stop on the coast is the cosmopolitan and Spanish holiday resort of Torrevieja the small fishing village, which in the last 25-30 years has grown to a large vibrant town, it is now visited and lived in by people from all 4 corners of Europe.
Torrevieja (name means old tower) is an old village with history from the 16th-century, at that time there were a number of guard towers along the coast to keep track of the enemy approaching from north Africa and other distant lands.

Here also there are many things to see and do such as the excellent beaches of La Mata and Los Locos (The Mad ) in the north of the town to Mar Azul (Blue Sea) in the south. There is a harbour to stroll around and an ex Spanish navy submarine to visit. Market day is on Friday and takes over most of the town. Due to the many different nationalities, living together you can find almost any kind of restaurant that takes your fancy.

To the south of Torrevieja is the area of Playa Flamenca. With some of the best beaches in the region. This mixed with a large choice of modern restaurants and bars makes this a popular choice for both holiday and long term rentals.
The beaches of La Zenia and Cala Capitan are maintained every day and are safe for bathers of all ages.

Villamartin / El Galan area

Villamartin is situated in the Costa Blanca south, 20 minutes drive south to Murcia airport and 40 minutes drive north to Alicante airport. Most relate Villamartin as a golf only area but over the years it has become a bustling all year round holiday destination and residential area. Golf however is still very popular, with its own championship course and neighbouring courses, it is still a golfers paradise!

Villamartin Plaza has over 40 restaurants varying from Italian, English, German, Spanish, Mexican, Austrian, Chinese, and French cuisine to name but a few, and these serve food both indoors and outside in the summer months in the delightful square. For those not wishing to eat, there are also plenty of Pubs, bars and night clubs.

Built over 20 years ago, Villamartin is without doubt one of the finest areas of the Costa Blanca offering a wide variety of activities. Villamartin Golf Club hosted the Mediterranean Open in 1994. The course is set in wonderful natural parkland, with olive trees and a colourful lining of the fairways.

How to get there

Directions from Murcia and Alicante airport will be emailed to you 4 weeks prior to arrival. Chateaux El Galan is 20 minutes from Murcia Airport and 45 Minutes from Alicante.

We can offer private transfers for up to 26 people using our own coaches. Prices are €25pp from Murcia and €32pp from Alicante. All prices are return and included tax.

The Villas are furnished to a great comfortable standard, clean and tidy, just what you need for your holiday. Each has its own kitchen and lounge so you have some privacy. TV with DVD player. We will provide all the bedding. We can arrange for cots and highchairs to be in the property payable locally, just tell us how many you need. We have a wireless internet dongle available for a small fee of €20 per week.

The garden is huge, it is private and walled.

The pool again is huge, even with 20 people in the pool you would not feel crowded. There are 7 sun loungers and enough tables and chairs to seat 20 people. We can even organise a chef to BBQ or Hogg Roast for you?

There are plenty of quite places in the garden to read a book or just relax in the sun. The garden has sun from early morning until 9/10pm in the high season.

Deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking paid into our HSBC UK account. The balance is due 6-8 weeks prior to arrival. We get booked up very early every year, please book early to avoid disappointment.

A security deposit is payable on arrival, this will depend on the party size, please enquire. Breakages whilst understandable must be paid for. The Final Cleaning and Laundry fee is €15pp paid on arrival.

We are flexible, on deposits, number of guests and rental rates. Please ask, you never know? We will probably say yes.

"The property is good value for money. We were a family party of 21 and the way the villas are split into various separate apartments is ideal to give you your own space but still be together. Would recommend to any large parties wanting a cheap and cheerful holiday in the sun. John and Amanda were very helpful and the couple of initial problems we had were sorted out by them straight away."
