The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Don't miss the Roman amphitheatre, civil war shelters and boat trip round the harbour at the ancient naval port of Cartagena. The Cathedral city of Murcia is a noted for its university and is a centre of culinary excellence.

Torrevieja is surrounded by a nature reserve "Parc Natural" which comprises salt water lagoons which are home to a large variety of wild life including flamingoes.

Alicante also provides much historic interest including the "Castell de Saint Barbara" with its dramatic views over the city and harbour.
