Home description

Situated in a quiet residential part of Los Dolses this lovely spacious apartment offers an ideal location for families and couples for both holidays and short breaks. It is near to both Alicante and Murcia airports. It is close to great beaches - only 5 minutes drive from La Zenia and has a variety of restaurants and bars. For keen golfers there are 3 golf courses very nearby - Villamartin, Campoamor, Las Ramblas.
It is about a 20 minute drive to Torrevieja. A car is recommended although there are supermarkets, shops and bars within a 10 minute walking distance.

There is a front terrace with table and chairs and awning - perfect for dining outside. There is also a private grassed front garden which is great for sunbathing or just relaxing under the palm tree. The communal swimming pool is a very short walk away and is ideal for families,.

The lounge is spacious and comfortable with 2 sofas and coffee table, side lights. DVD player and Stereo system with a good selection of DVDs, CDs books and games. Dining table and 4 chairs. The kitchen is American style with breakfast bar and has a walk in storage cupboard. Fully equipped with everything you will need to make your holiday a real 'home from home ',

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

CLIMATE
The summers are dry and the winters very mild. It’s claimed the area has more than 320 days a year of bright sunshine. The climate is generally slightly more agreeable than the rest of the Costa Blanca because the mountains being farther away from the coast, generate a pleasant breeze in the heat of the day. The Torrevieja Salt lakes help to make the area one of the healthiest places in Europe! - so says the World Health Organization.

Average temperatures range from approx. 18 deg C in January to 32 deg C in midsummer. It’s ideal for golfing breaks throughout the winter period, with almost guaranteed supply of sunshine all year round.

BEACHES
The Costa Blanca has over 100 kms of sandy blue flag beaches.

The nearest beach is La Zenia only a five minute drive away with Compoamor, Mil Palmeras and Playa Flamenca only a 10 to 15 minute car drive away and like many others in the area is comprised of small unspoilt coves with facilities on the beach or nearby

Villamartin is situated approximately 25 miles south of Alicante.

The area has excellent road links and is a great base to explore other resorts as well as inland rural and historial areas. One place to consider is Elche. It is known as the palm tree capital of the world and is also great as it is the centre of Spanish shoe production with a number of shoe factories.

Villamartin / Los Dolses area

The apartment is set in a quiet residential gated complex and is about a 10 minute walk from Los Dolses Plaza. The plaza has a number of bars and restaurants as well as a bank, haridressers and supermarket.

Golf and Sports

The Villamartin area has 3 beautiful championship courses of international prestige (Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas) within a 2 to 5 minutes drive of the apartment. Within a 30 minutes drive radius, you can select from another 8 courses, each with it's own unique design, including the world famous La Manga and La Finca courses. All are challenging, but are most enjoyable to play.

Other sporting activities nearby include; Tennis, Horse Riding & various Watersports including sailing.

For a day away from the pool, beaches or golf the water parks at Torrevieja and Quesada are worth a visit.

Alternatively, why not try a day in the beautiful countryside and enjoy the mountains, pine woods, olive and almond trees, orange and lemon groves plus 2 large salt lakes. The Salt lakes of Torrevieja are a favourite resting place for different varieties of migratory birds, particularly flamingo’s.

Or why not take a trip to the beautiful, unspoilt, Isla Tabarca (Tabarca Island) from Torrevieja marina or a coast line boat trip. You can fish, or jet ski or go riding at the many riding stables around. There is also ten-pin bowling and even quad biking and go-karting for the more adventurous.

Torrevieja is the nearest major town and is a 15 min drive away. It is surrounded by salt lakes and as a result the climate is meant to be very healthy especially for people with arthritus. The salt lakes are protected and form the habitat for numerous protected species of bird such as the greater Flamingo and Montagu’s harrier. The salt is also commercially extracted providing one of the Torrevieja's main industries.

Any visitor to Torrevieja is bound to visit the harbour area with it's numerous restaurants, tapas bars and shops. The fish restaurants are a must as the fish is fresh in from the local fishing boats.

Torrevieja has many attractive parks, gardens and squares where you can sit down and just relax under the shade

The Villamartin Plaza offers a lively multicultural mix of bars , restaurants. In this tropical setting you can have an enjoyable night out in the open air. It also has a number of fashion and golf shops, hairdressers, bank (with Cash point), pharmacy, health centre and supermarket.

More typically Spanish towns and villages are a short drive away e.g San Miguel, Lo Pogan.

Approximately 40 minutes from Alicante travelling south towards Cartagena.
Approximately 20 minutes north from Murcia Airport. Take the A7 Motorway and come off at La Zenia
