About the home

This newly built apartment, is situated on the ground floor with it’s own front garden and an enclosed rear courtyard. It is tastefully furnished to a very high specification throughout comprising of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and lounge/diner with kitchen area. Also benefits from hot/cold air conditioning.

There is a wonderful swimming pool with child’s pool in the centre of the development which forms the hub of this small community. A number of the properties are permanently occupied by ex-pats making local information readily available and a very friendly environment. Although certainly not isolated, we do recommend car hire to make full advantage of all the local area and it’s amenities. The apartment caters for 4 people dining. We have given you the advantage of an extra sofa bed and king size which converts to singles to allow you more flexible sleeping arrangements.

This area is regarded as one of the best on the Costa Blanca with an average of 320 days sun each year and miles of beautiful white sandy beaches this is an all year round holiday destination. The area has large salt lakes and nature reserves with an abundance of bird and wildlife. The salt lakes combined with such favourable weather, creates a micro climate, making this one of the healthiest places in the world to live.

Costa Blanca (English: White Coast) refers to the over 200 kilometres of coastline belonging to the Province of Alicante in Spain. It has a well developed tourism industry and is a popular destination for British and German tourists. It extends from the towns of Denia in the north, beyond which lies the Costa dels Tarongers, to Pilar de la Horadada in the south, beyond which lies the Costa Calida. It includes the major tourist destinations of Benidorm and Alicante.

The Villamartin / Las Filipinas area

Villamartin is the name of both an urbanisation and a golf course in the Costa Blanca area of eastern Spain. It lies in the municipality of Orihuela, in the province of Alicante in the Valencian Community .

Villamartin is one of the many new developments in the past decade in this area of Costa Blanca. The place is very popular with the tourists and most of the population consists of Western European expatriate communities who have settled there in the last 10 years, virtually transforming the village into a modern-looking town. There are also other golf courses nearby and numerous beaches. The nearest beach is the La Zenia beach.

Situated within the urbanisation is the Villamartin Plaza (Square) which houses numerous shops, bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes. Huge palm trees grow centrally within the Plaza being home to several parrots and other birds. These are a cause of great interest and enjoyment to the watching hoards of locals and tourists alike and have taken on somewhat of a celebrity status; their squawking and flying exploits being a central part of the Plaza's popularity.
