Home description

A large home from home villa with private swimming pool and gardens in a popular resort close to shops, bars and restaurants along with 5 blue flag beaches. Book early to avoid disappointed.

There are two lounges both with UK TV as standard, one on the ground floor next to the pool and one on the upper floor next to the built in BBQ. Three bedrooms on the ground level and three on the first floor, 2 of the bathrooms are on the upper floors and the third is on the ground floor. There are also two fully fitted kitchens and a utility rooms with washing machine. There is air conditioning on all three floors for your comfort and this is included free of charge in the rental. Using the bedrooms you can comfortably sleep 12 people and we do have two blow-up beds for groups of 14.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Torrevieja is surrounded by two large natural saltwater lagoons, which form the well-known “Salterns of Torrevieja”. It is situated on the Costa Blanca, approximately one hours drive South from Benidorm and 40 minutes from Alicante airport.

It is an ideal location for a summer or winter sun holiday with an average of 320 days sunshine each year. It is said to be good for sufferers of arthritis, asthma and rheumatism. The area is regarded by the World Health Organisation as having the healthiest climate in Europe.

Torrevieja isn’t a resort in the package holiday sense, there are only a few hotels and the area is much loved by the Spanish who flock here during the summer months for their holidays.

It is impossible to talk about Torrevieja without talking about its beaches with their fine sand and crystal clear waters, without doubt the most frequented along the Mediterranean coast along with the town of Benidorm. They have all held the European Blue Flag for Clean Seas for several years, awarded for their quality and excellent installations. La Mata, Los Locos, El Cura, El Acequión and Los Náufragos together make up the beaches of the Torreviejan coast, not forgetting the marvellous coves in the northern part, as well as the so-called natural swimming pools which are found beside the Juan Aparicio promenade right in the centre of the town.

Of course the seaside promenades and the fishing port are attractions in their own right for visitors to this part of the Southern Mediterranean. The Torrevieja micro-climate, brought about by the two salt lakes of La Mata and Torrevieja which occupy more than 55 per cent of the total area of the town, with its 340 days of sun and an average annual temperature of 20 degrees centigrade, has meant that thousands of tourists from the north of Spain and northern Europe have decided to set up home permanently in the town.

If you still do not know this small corner of south east Spain there is still time to do so, because the best thing of all are the local people, traditionally friendly and open to both national and international tourism. English is spoken as a second language so you will not find it a problem to communicate within the area.

One of the greatest tourist attractions of Torrevieja has always been its variety of entertainment for young people. There are more than a hundred night bars, the majority concentrated in the so-called El Baluarte area in the La Punta district, which have become a major attraction for thousands of people from all over the world.

The cosmopolitan nature of Torreviejas nightlife can be seen in its leisure areas: Casablanca, Bésame Mucho, Pata Palo, Tía Roqueta, Tirachinas, Iris Pub, La Cantina or Correcaminos, are just some examples of typical leisure places in the town. For the real nightbirds this provision is rounded off by the macro-discoteque Pachá, as well as the historic Look and KKO clubs, which cannot be passed over during a nocturnal pub-crawl (la ruta del bakalao).

During the day Torrevieja also offers a range of leisure and entertainment areas. As well as its beaches and numerous terraces along its maritime promenade, its great aquatic park (Aquópolis) is swarming with families, young people and children during the summer months.

Villamartin / El Galan area

Casa Romantico is located in Villamartin (near Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca) which is a friendly residential area, yet it is within walking distance of amenities and a short drive to 5 blue flag beaches. Casa Romantico offers everything that you will need whilst here on holiday. The large roof terrace offers beautiful views down to La Manga. A few minutes away is the famous Villamartin Plaza with over 30 bars and restaurants where you can also find ten-pin bowling, pharmacy, banks and mini-market. From here, buses also run every hour to the beaches and to Torrevieja.

Villamartin is situated in the Costa Blanca south, 20 minutes drive south to Murcia airport and 40 minutes drive north to Alicante airport. Most relate Villamartin as a golf only area but over the years it has become a bustling all year round holiday destination and residential area. Golf however is still very popular, with its own championship course and neighbouring courses, it is still a golfers paradise!

Villamartin Plaza has over 40 restaurants varying from Italian, English, German, Spanish, Mexican, Austrian, Chinese, and French cuisine to name but a few, and these serve food both indoors and outside in the summer months in the delightful square. For those not wishing to eat, there are also plenty of Pubs, bars and night clubs.

Built over 20 years ago, Villamartin is without doubt one of the finest areas of the Costa Blanca offering a wide variety of activities. Villamartin Golf Club hosted the Mediterranean Open in 1994. The course is set in wonderful natural parkland, with olive trees and a colourful lining of the fairways.

You can fly into either Alicante (ALC) or (MJV) , use skyscanner which is a low cost airline search engine. The garden is large with a various table/ chair set, there is a built in Spanish BBQ that requires charcoal (always taste better than gas). The swimming pool is private and is a good size kidney shaped. There is also a gazebo to protect from the mid day sun which can reach 40+ temperatures in July and August. There are plenty of recliners and sun loungers for you use whilst here with us also.

Prices are per week, not per person

1.Booking made within 8 weeks of arrival require full payment using bank transfer into our UK account, however should you need to move funds about a small non refundable deposit is available to secure your booking. Booking out of 8 weeks require a deposit of 20%.

2. We require a refundable breakage deposit of £300 paid with the balance, this will be refunded into your UK bank account as soon as we have checked the property, normally within 10 days of departure.

3. A cleaning fee is payable of €100, plus a laundry fee of €10pp this is payable in cash on arrival.

4. We allow arrivals any day of the week, entry time into the villa is 3pm...However the departure time is flexible, providing that new clients are not arriving on the same day. If this is the case you will need to depart at 10am.

5. Booking are taken on a first come first serve basis.
