The Costa Brava/Catalonia region
The “Costa del Garraf” is south of Barcelona around the estuary of the river Llobregat. The northern coast consists mostly of rocky bays with hidden coves whilst the southern coast offers the most splendid sandy beaches. Sitges is perhaps the most well-known touristic and cultural resort, a favourite with holidaymakers, and Villanova i La Geltrú and Castelldefells are both very lovely and well-known resorts.
