About the home

This lovely apartment is located on the famous Millennium Golf Course, popular with families and golfers alike. Quiet and peaceful, yet only minutes to the Marina and Beach and other attractions such as the water parks, Zoo Marine and Algarve shopping. Visit the local markets for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.

The apartment is situated on the ground floor and benefits from direct access to the pool, with a separate pool area for the children. Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with golf views, furnished with a BBQ, table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With one double and one twin bedroom, the apartment is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

Welcome packs can be provided to get you started for your holiday (paid in advance). Cots/ highchairs and all baby needs can be arranged (again paid in advance). If you have not driven abroad before, fear not as the roads are generally a lot quieter than those in the UK and the driving is really easy and the roads tend to be well sign posted. I would even say that the roads are generally better than most of those I have experienced in the UK .

The rental car companies provide local maps that are easy to navigate from. The property and surrounding areas are very safe. The apartment is perfectly located and easy to find from the airport within a 25 minute drive.
There are maps in the apartment for our guests.

Towels and bedlinen are included. This property is always immaculately cleaned before and after occupancy. Mid week clean and further cleaning / towel and linen change available at additional cost on request. 24hr local contact available for your convenience.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The Algarve is a special place, situated in the extreme South of Portugal, bursting with sporting and leisure facilities for the whole family. This charming region, with its idyllic temperatures which are ideal for playing golf
and other sports. In the northern part of the Algarve, the hills of Espinhação de Cão, Monchique and Caldeirão shelter the coast from strong winds.

This brightly coloured region, with its fig trees, orange groves and almond trees in blossom, is also the most verdant and fertile. The southern coastline consists of a long stretch of fabulous sandy beaches, broken up by extraordinary rugged cliffs and fantastic grottoes.

Nearby Attractions - Albufiera - Once a peaceful fishing village, it keeps its narrow streets in the old town and whitewashed houses perched over a charming beach.
Faro - The capital of the district, with a medieval wall and a large number of monuments:
Lagoa - known for its wine, which takes the Algarve to the rest of the country. Standing on a small hill, it is surrounded by vineyards and its white houses gleam in the distance
Portimao - First the blue sea and its gently lapping waves. Then fine, golden sands framed by cliffs and rocks
Silves - Stones of different times and cultures overlap in this town: the castle, with its famous water cistern and walls, is of Arab origin

Millenium Golf Course - a new exciting 18 hole course designed by UK architects Hawtree & Sons.
Laguna - the most recent of the Vilamoura courses, this course has three loops of nine holes each that are an enduring challenge for any player.
Pinhal - in the middle of a beautiful pine wood, with panoramic views to the sea.
Old Course - the oldest of the three Vilamoura courses that form part of a luxury resort close to fantastic beaches - a Par 73 course set in beautiful and tranquil landscape.

The Vilamoura / Vilamoura Marina area

The Marina is picturesque and hosts some very glamorous vessels indeed. The waterfront is great for wandering around day or night. A number of boats, including The Condor de Vilamoura, run excursions along the coast towards Lagos and beyond. Either side of the marina are sandy beaches with several cafes and bars. Vilamoura is especially popular with sports enthusiasts as it has excellent facilities and fantastic restaurants for the whole family.

Casino, those after a flutter can play American roulette, French roulette, Portuguese dice, Black Jack or slot machines at Casino, there are also nightly cabaret shows, a nightclub and a cinema.
Tennis, Vilamouraténis Centre. The sports facilities of the town are excellent, they include lawn bowling, swimming, golf, riding, squash & shooting
Beaches
Falésia is ideal for a day on the beach with its unusual red coloured cliffs as a backdrop. You can get down to the beach at a number of points. Also close at hand is Olhos de Água, surrounded on three sides by pine-clad cliffs.

“Fabulous summer holiday, we will definitely return” We stayted at apartment Angela for 2 weeks in August 2012 and we had a wonderful holiday. We have 2 young children aged 5 and 3 and it was perfect for our needs. The apartment was spacious, modern, clean, comfortable and was well equipped with everything that was requried for our holiday. The pool is right outside the back door and it was a big hit with our kids, it was never too busy and some days we had the pool to ourselves which was lovely. Our kids met a friend the first day we arrived which was great company for them both. We BBQ'd regularly at the apartment which was great. We hired a car and took off most days in the second week to explore the amazing beaches that the Algarve has to offer. The apartment has beach chairs and an ice bucket which we filled for our day trips out. From the moment we booked the apartment to our return home everything was smooth so all in all it was a fantasitc holiday and I would be happy to recommend apartment Angela, we will definitely return.

“Great relaxing family holiday” Stayed at Angela Apartment in August 2011 with my family - two boys aged 10 and 7. Best apartment we have ever rented very spacious for the four of us - pool right outside our patio door. Boys made friends first day we got there and were happy and content for the whole 10 days. Only bug bear was the traffic into Vilamoura town in the evening - if you leave early not a problem - need car as too far too walk. Vilamoura beach extremely busy but found some beautiful beaches on our travels and met friendly people around the pool - highly recommend would certainly revisit. Very satisfied customer.
