The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve enjoys hot summers and mild winters including approximately 330 days a year of bright skies and sunshine. The summer months see 12 hours of sunshine per day on average with almost no rainfall. With average summer temperatures of 28 degrees centigrade during July and August. The sea breeze offers a welcome relief on the hot summer days.
The best time of year to play the many varied golf courses would be in spring or autumn as the temperatures are much more comfortable - you will still need factor 15.
The Vilamoura / Praia Village area
Vilamoura offers tremendous diversity of attractions including the internationally renowned marina, with plans to double its size, to the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast at Falesia. Further inland you will find the quiet pine forests, fig trees and orange groves.
Other attractions range from deep sea game fishing, water sports, shooting clubs, horse riding, bowls, restaurants ( offering superb local delicacies), pubs, clubs and a casino. The golf courses on the Algarve in particular, are among the best courses in the world, that will challenge both the beginners and professional's alike.
Roma Golf Park - crazy golf for the family, is located just 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Quarteria, the next resort to Vilamoura and within walking distance, offers a midweek market and Loule has a bustling market on weekends which are both worth a visit - don't forget to haggle.
Vilamoura has a cinema with the latest English language films. Day trips can be spent at the Zoomarine, Aquapark and Gokarting facilities which offer great entertainment for children and adults.

Praia Village is approximately 20 minute drive from Faro airport.
Numerous scheduled flights and charters fly from airports throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Cheap scheduled flights are available including Jet2, Easyjet, Ryan Air, Monarch, Aer Lingus and B.M.I.
Car hire companies are located at the airport but we would recommend pre booking.
Local taxis are available and are very reasonable.

We stayed at this apartment in August for 2 weeks, with 4 young children aged between 9 months and 9 years old. We found the apartment to be very spacious and well appointed, with plenty of natural light. It is definitely in one of the nicest blocks in the area. The apartment is well located - it is a 15 minute walk to the Marina and about 20 minutes the beach. The pool and gardens are well kept. Our dealings with the property owner and manager were efficient and courteous at all times. We are happy to recommend the apartment.

Found the apartment of excellent standard. The whole complex is very well maintained and clean. Ideal location only 15 minutes from the marina. One of the most relaxing holdays we have had and will definitely go back

We stayed at Praia Village in July 11.It was our first visit to the Algrave and we really enjoyed it.The Apartment was superb,spacious,and well laid out for a family.All our transfers(pre arranged) were on time.We found the area a relaxing place to stay.The photos do not do justice to the aparment.
