The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, stretching from the resorts of Faro, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo in the East, through to the beautiful and historic town of Lagos in the West. The golfing haven of Vilamoura and the resorts of Albufeira, Vale de Parra and Carvoeiro are also very popular locations.
The Algarve coastline offers endless days of exploring - the beaches here are amongst the finest in Europe.. further afield is Lisbon, Portugals historic capital city just 2 hours drive North.. and to the East across the Spanish border, the stunning city of Seville - Capital of Andalusia region is approx 2 hours drive as well.
Vilamoura / Vilamoura Marina area
In the marina area you will find an excellent array of high quality restaurants. Cais is particularly recommended if you want to taste the best steak in the Algarve. The Fisherman's Shack located off the main street outside the marina is exceptional for fish and local cuisine. Dom Alfonso's, Aquavit, Pier 1 are also very popular with guests.
For a great night out visit the casino and try your luck at the tables or book in to see a floor show. In the daytime, there are plenty of boat trips from the marina including dolphin and whale watching, deep sea fishing or pleasure cruises down the coast. Faro is a must. At night, visit one of the many bars on the marina and watch the sun go down while sipping a champagne cocktail.
For shoppers and retail therapy there are some very high quality boutique shops in Vilamoura but for greater choice visit the main shopping areas - Faro & Loule offer traditional high street shopping (15-20mins car/taxi) and there are large shopping malls at The Forum in Faro and AlgarveShopping Centre near Guia (20mins car/taxi). There are weekly gypsy markets at Quarteira (Wednesdays) and Loule (Saturday).
If you do happen to have a car(or even hire one for a day), there are endless places of interest within easy reach of Vilamoura. Within 30 minutes drive time from the resort there are a further 20 top quality courses to choose from - no wonder the Algarve is Europe's favourite golf destination
How to get there
Vilamoura and the apartment is easiest reached via Faro airport which is only a short dirive approx 20 mins and is served by all the mainstram and budget airlines such as Easyjet and ryanair from locations all accross the UK and Ireland.
It is also possible to fly into Lisbon which is about 2hrs North, or Seville in Spain which is approx 1hr 45mins to the East. Again these airports are served by all leading budget and full service airlines, and also offer a great opportunity to have a short city break at the start or end of your holiday on the Algarve.

Conditions
Make contact, agree holiday dates, pay 25% deposit at time of booking. A refundable breakages/damages deposit of £250 is required to be paid with the balance and providing there is no damage or breakages this will be refunded to you by post. The final balance to be paid 6 weeks before departure or immediately if booked at short notice. Deposit non-refundable on any holidays cancelled 12 weeks prior to departure. No smoking or pets within the apartment please.
