Vilamoura / Golf Mar Village area
A leisurely 600 meter walk takes you to the beach. Play golf in one of the 6 Vilamoura courses: Millenium, Victoria, Old Course, Pinhal, Laguna and Vila Sol. Walking distance to the restaurants, beach, shops and town centre. Local banks, supermarkets are all close to hand. For those who fancy a flutter there is a casino that is open until the early hours. Vilamoura Marina has everything you could want within walking distance, your holiday can be as quite as you like, or as lively as you like, perfect for grown ups and children alike. Not to forget you can hire a boat and go fishing or site seeing.
Vilamoura is not actually an official town but more of an area dedicated to tourism. And standing on 2000 hectares of land it is one of the biggest tourist complexes in Europe. But don't be fooled by the fact that it is a tourist complex; Vilamoura retains its natural charm through a fantastic environmental heritage and also is continuously improving itself. In fact the owners of the complex are extremely environmentally conscious. It has all the facilities needed to be a tourist complex including Golf, restaurants and sports clubs. It is situated on a Marina so there is naturally a fair share of watersports on offer too. The coast around the complex is home to some great beaches perfect for the family.
