New 4 bedroom south facing villa with private swimming pool, BBQ and terrace overlooking the first par-5 tee of the Laguna Golf Course and the sea. This self-catering villa was recently completed to a high specification. It is situated in a new area of Vilamoura a minute's walk to the Club House making this an ideal base for the golfers.

There are three suites upstairs and a large suite in the basement with a games room. Large living room and dining area. Large LCD screen with cable TV, Sky HD with Sports and Film Package. DVD and Philips music server with 8,000 songs. Fully equipped large kitchen and a utility room with washing machine and dryer. Child-friendly with baby cot, etc. There are two mountain bikes and one tri-cycle available.
Outside is a large private swimming pool (5x10m). 8 sun chairs. Teak table and 8 chairs for outdoor dining. It is 2,700m to the beach (award winning Praia da Falésia in Vilamoura).
Golf: 300m to Millennium and Laguna Club House. 30m to first tee of Laguna Golf Course. The club house is provided with full bar and restaurant facilities for everybody, golfers and non-golfers alike. The new, world class Victoria golf course is opposite. The other golf courses in Vilamoura are only a short drive away.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is the southernmost region of mainland Portugal, incorporating, amongst others, the cities of Faro, Albufeira, Lagos, Olhão, Tavira, Portimão and Silves.
The Algarve is hilly, but traversed with rich valleys. Its highest point is the mountain range of Monchique, with a maximum altitude of 906m (Peak of the Fóia).
It is composed of 5,412 square kilometres with approximately 410,000 permanent inhabitants (density of 76 inhabitants per square kilometre). This figure increases to over a million people at the height of summer due to an influx of tourists.
The region is also the home of the Ria Formosa lagoon, a nature reserve of over 170 square kilometres and a stopping place for hundreds of different birds.
The Algarve is a popular destination for tourism, primarily because of its beaches, Mediterranean climate, safety and relatively low costs. The length of the south-facing coastline is approximately 155 kilometres. Beyond the westernmost point of Cape St Vincent it stretches a further 50 kilometres to the north. The coastline is notable for picturesque limestone caves and grottoes, particularly around Lagos, which are accessible by powerboat.
The summer months see high temperatures that attract beach-goers and sun-lovers from around the world.
With more hours of sunshine than California and only short periods of rainfall, generally between November and March, the Algarve has the perfect weather and climate for tourism. The maximum temperatures in the Algarve fluctuate between 15 and 31 °C, with the temperature never falling below zero in the winter months.
Vilamoura / Millenium Golf area
Vilamoura is a privately owned resort located in the south of Portugal, in the Algarve region. Its boundaries lie within the parish of Quarteira which is a part of the municipality of Loulé.
Vilamoura caters for Brits abroad and is ideal for those who wish to ensure that they are not too far from egg and chips rather than hoping to find the "real" portugal. Restaurant prices are somewhat more expensive than found outside the purpose-built resort.
Vilamoura is located just 30 minutes drive from Faro airport. Covering some 20 km² of land, it is one of Europes largest tourist beach resorts. Almost every kind of sport and entertainment are on offer, including six golf courses, sports clubs, a shooting range, night clubs, a casino and numerous restaurants and vibrant bars. Most of the restaurants and bars can be found on and near the marina.
For the avid historians there is a preserved Roman Site and Museum providing an insight to the area's past. Originally a Roman fishing town the ruins include baths in which the mariners used to bathe.

How to get there
You fly to Faro International Airport with EasyJet, Ryanair, Aer Lingus, Jet2.com etc. At the airport you rent cars from Avis, Hertz and Europcar. If need be I can arrange for a local manager to meet you at the airport. A welcome package of food and beverages can also be arranged.
