Home description

This is a really beautiful, home from home type apartment to relax , tour the Algarve or play golf. It is in a small complex of apartments with their own private garden and pool area. There is underground parking and all the comforts of home (plus AC!) with balconies overlooking the fairways of the Millennium golf course.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The Algarve has long been popular with visitors as evidenced by the remains of Roman villas in Vilamoura (hence the name I assume!). The region gets over 300 days sunshine but there is usually an accompanying balmy Atlantic breeze so it rarely gets oppressively hot. The area has loads of traditional Portuguese towns and villages with a variety of markets (Quartera on Wednesdays and Loule on Saturdays to mention only two) and festival activities. The food is great particularly if you like a wide variety of sea food and the available Portuguese wine leaves you wondering why you cannot get it at home! As for the golf - simply spoiled for choice regardless of handicap. It is well serviced by roads including an East/West motorway and parallel primary route. Do not just think beaches - you can also head for the hills and be surprised!

Vilamoura / Millenium Golf area

The Marina area in Vilamoura has a great buzz for most of the year with a wide variety of restaurants and shops. There are hidden beaches and small towns off the beaten track if that's what you like. Vilamoura is in effect a privately developed resort with over 4,000 acres. There is loads to do in relation to water activities and of course its famous 5 golf courses. The Laguna/Millenium clubhouse is a five minute walk from the Apartment. The Victora course is across the road from that with the Old Course and Pinhal a very short drive away (10 minutes) and Villa Sol about 15 minutes journey. The area is well maintained and manicured with loads of exotic trees, shrubs and flowers so you can enjoy walking, cycling or driving.

How to get there

Fly any of the main airlines/budget airlines that serve Faro - www.ryanair.com, www.aerlingus.com, www.easyjet.com, www.flymonarch.com. Hertz, Avis, Budget etc have cars from there.

Directions from airport to apartment are easy to follow and we have contact person there to assist/collect if required.

The apartment is on the first floor of 2 storey complex. End of terrace apartment. Its in an enclave surrounded by greenery, open spaces and away from the hub bub but not too far if you need to get to some action! Vilamoura is a short taxi hop if you want to leave the car.

Further details outdoors:
The balconies overlook the pool area as well as the golf course so you can sit out enjoy your breakfast croissant or evening apperitif. The pool has a terrace and grass area for the sunloungers provided and is nice and quite as there are only a small number of apartments.
