Everything is to hand here for a wonderfully relaxing, or energetic holiday. The villa is just 2km from the centre of Vilamoura, 25km north west of Faro and 14km south of Loule.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The spectacular coastline of the Algarve has two distinct characters: west of Faro is a wonderful stretch of secluded bays, coves and magical grottoes; to the east of Faro there's a series of sandy off-shore islets offering safe bathing in calm, warm waters - perfect for families. Between the beaches, small fishing ports harbour an array of brightly painted boats - often adorned with enormous eyes designed to bring good luck for the fisherman.
With no less than 150km of fine beaches to choose from, it's hardly surprising that the area has gained an excellent reputation for water sports and with over 3.000 hours of sunshine every year, the Algarve really is a sun-worshippers paradise. The region also has no shortage of sporting facilities, with countless yachting marinas, golf courses and tennis centres.
The Vilamoura area
Vilamoura offers a superb range of sport and leisure facilities including a casino and cinema. The marina is popular, even the most serious of sailors, and the beautiful surroundings provide a superb backdrop for the annually held boat show; near to the marina there is a large sandy beach. In winter, golfers are attracted by the mild climate and Vilamoura`s five top class golf courses. It is a lively and interesting place to be any time of year and yet, by contrast, close by. There is a 200 hectare nature reserve dedicated to the protection of endangered species.
Vilamoura is the name given to an area rather than to any actual town. It is outstanding in that it is one of the largest single tourist complex in Europe and covers some 2.000 hectares of land. The land is variable in its vegetation, some parts covered in pine forests whilst others open recovered marshland. Vilamoura is a special place, a unique leisure and recreation resort community where the pace of life is so easy it feels like summer all year round.
