About the home

Vilamarques is a very large 9 bedroom Villa located at most prestigious area of Vilamoura - Central Algarve. Just 25 minutes drive from Faro Airport, 3 minutes by car to the beach and the famous Marina with all it's yachts, fancy shops, restaurants, bars, casino, etc...
2 of the 5 golf courses available in Vilamoura are just a 10 minute walk from the Villa. The villa's faces the fairway number 2 of Vilamoura's awarded "Old Course".
200 meters from the villa there is a prestigious sports club where you can enjoy all kinds of land sports. The club has also a restaurant and a sports bar. A supermarket, a Michelin star restaurant and SPA are also just a short walk from the Villa.

Being configurable Villa (always with exclusive use). It offers several accommodation possibilities depending on the size of the party. It can be rented as a 6 bedroom villa (sleeps up to 15 + 3 infants), a 8 bedroom villa (sleeps up to 19 + 3 infants) or as a 9 bedroom villa (sleeps up to 23 + 3 infants).

In total there are 9 bedrooms.

There are 3 cots that can be placed in some of the bedrooms.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

Vilamoura is the name given to an area rather than to any actual town.

It is outstanding in that it is one of the largest single tourist complex in Europe and covers some 2.000 hectares of land.
The land is variable in its vegetation, some parts covered in pine forests whilst others open recovered marshland.

The Vilamoura area

The company that owns this complex is extremely environmentally conscious and has made every effort is being made to protect nature within its continued planned development.

Due to the size of the resort area it offers the visitor nearly every form of sport and entertainment. On the southern border is a long sandy beach swept by the Atlantic Ocean.

Amongst the many attractions and facilities there are six different Golf Courses, a large Marina, a Lawn Bowling Club with two grass Rinks, a Tennis Centre, a Sports Club, a Shooting Club, 5 Star and 4 Star Hotels, Tourist Apartments, self-catering Villas, Night Clubs, an International Casino with glamorous shows, a Cinema, and an excellent Riding School.

Within the centre of Vilamoura there is a preserved Roman Site and Museum of Cerro da Vila providing an interesting glimpse into the past of the area.

In Roman times this location was important in producing a fish paste known as "garum". The ruins also include the baths in which the mariners used to bathe.

As a location specifically designed for tourism it has proved to be a very successful holiday destination for all ages due to the variety of facilities that it provides holidaymakers.

“An Amazing Holiday” We had the most amazing time in Vilamarque villa in Vilamoura. The villa was just as it looks in the pictures. Immaculately kept with everything you need. “Great location for a big group holiday” Vilamarques is unique....... I've now been back 3 times. The outside area and pool are perfect for spending time in the sunshine with friends and with a gas BBQ and refrigerated draft beer tap catering is also taken care of. Vilamoura is a superb resort. very classy restaurants and bars at the marina and golf courses galore! The owner is exceptionally friendly and bends over backwards to ensure a fantastic holiday. On arriving we said we were returning to my favourite restaurant and he took the time to phone ahead to make us a reservation and we were met at the door by the chef offering us the freshest fish of the day and a jug of sangria espumante ! Negatives: the decor in the villa is starting to age but the owner has made significant upgrades since my first trip and is planning major bathroom refits over the winter. Added extras: Poolside wifi and it comes with a minibus (seats 10 people) that all guests are insured to drive. Response: Vilamarques temaa thanks you for your kind review and we look forward to your next booking. Don't take up too long to decide as there is only one week left available in June 2013.
