About the home

The apartment is situated a 5-minute walk from the Marina and 10 minutes from the beach. The accommodation consists of one large bedroom with double bed leading to a private back patio, a comfortable sofa bed for two in a big and bright living/dining room which lead to a private garden with barbecue. The front garden has a table and chairs for having meals outside, and a nice little grass area. It has a fully fitted kitchenette and a complete bathroom.

Nearby there are two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) with good fees and gym. Its location is perfect for those who don’t want to drive or go to the added expense of hiring a car. All local amenities are within short walking distance.

This apartment is ideal for couples with children (two private gardens), golfers or senior couples who like quiet places. It´s situated in a residential area (in a non traffic street) so you have no noisy bars or shops in the immediate vicinity. Outside the apartment there are a barbecue, table and chairs to have pleasant meals outside enjoying sunny days even in winter.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

Portugal's southernmost region, the Algarve was formerly a sleepy area dotted with tiny fishing villages. It is still home to numerous picturesque villages along the coastline, and is consequently also well-known for its delicious seafood. Nowadays, however, the region is also a tourist paradise, offering fabulous white-sand beaches, activities for all the family and some of the best golf courses in Europe. The Algarve's location near to the Atlantic Ocean means that although summers are hot and sunny, temperatures never become as oppressive here as they do in some Mediterranean resorts, not even in July and August. Spring and autumn, meanwhile, are mild, while even if you come in winter you will enjoy warm days.

The Vilamoura area

Vilamoura is the tourist resort par excellence. The biggest private holiday development in Portugal has golf courses, a wide range of other sports facilities and an incredible marina with all sorts of facilities and entertainment. From the holidaymaker’s perspective you should know that if there’s something to do, it can be done in Vilamoura.

Nearby, the Vilamoura Casino is not quite up to Las Vegas standards, but you can try your luck on the one-armed bandits or on the more serious gaming tables. The casino restaurant features a nightly floorshow with high-kicking dancers.

Vilamoura is a gourmet's paradise. More than an hundred different options can be found around the Marina to cater for the most demanding of palates! The variety is so wide that is difficult to choose from the traditional fish, seafood and regional gastronomy with a fine Portuguese flavour to the exquisite of the “nouvelle cuisine”. You can go on a gastronomic tour from Portugal to China for a special romantic dinner, while hamburgers and cafe snacks are on offer for a more frugal meal. The exciting foodie scene is completed by the beach restaurants for a lovely day under the sun.

This is also a great place for shopaholics. The colourful shops windows are an invitation difficult to resist. From well known international trade marks to the regional and rustic shops, one always finds the right gift for a very special person. One may as well bring only hand luggage because you will end up bringing back a new wardrobe, even including accessories and the perfumes. For the day by day and long stays, the supermarkets and convenience stores can be quite handy.

Vilamoura is fronted by three kilometres of golden sands. The choice is wide, from quiet, secluded beaches to those frequented by the celebrities, artists and sportsmen who spend the summer in the resort.What they all have in common is unrivalled beauty and excellent water quality, as proved by the blue flags they have been awarded. When not enjoying the wonderful Algarve sunshine or wandering along the shore, more active visitors can stimulate their adrenaline with sports such as windsurfing, water-skiing, jet-skiing and paragliding, or just relax pedalling a pedalo, fishing or enjoying a drink in one of the many restaurants and bars along the beachfront.
