Villa with 4 bedrooms, under floor heating, garden, private parking area dishwasher and grill with traditional wood oven, situated in a quiet area of Vilamoura, located 1.7 km of Vilamoura Marina and 2 km from the beach.

4 rooms en suite: 1 on ground floor with two single beds, bathroom with shower. 1st Floor: 1 with double bed, bathroom with bath, triangular whirlpool and mezzanine with seating area: desk, chairs and high bed, 1 bedroom with double bed and bathroom with bath and one with two single beds.
5 Bathrooms: 1 guest WC, 2 with bath tubs (one of which is a triangular whirlpool)and 2 with shower.
Spacious living room and dining area with satellite TV, sofas, both areas have direct access to the terrace and pool area.
Kitchen equipped with fridge / freezer - American style, television, washing machine tumble dryer, dishwasher, stove with 4 electric burners and two gas, blender, kettle, toaster, coffee machine (capsules), microwave, juicer, iron and ironing board.
Simple décor and functional.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

Most people who come for an Algarve holiday will head for a destination in the Central Algarve. This is probably because the this area of the Algarve is the most commercialised and geared up for the ‘tourist’. It has the largest concentration of hotels and apartments in the country and a selection of sporting and leisure activities to suit everyone.
The Central Algarve area stretches from Faro in the east to Portimão in the west, some 45 miles across. Faro is the capital of the Algarve, but it often ignored by visitors as a holiday destination, who consider it only as the place where the airport is. This is a shame because it is a vibrant town with plenty of history and architecture to enjoy.
From Faro, travelling north-west, you'll come to Almancil. This is a small town which acts as a hub for the resorts found along the costal stretch here. These are Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and the Vila Sol Resort which are in the heart of Algarve’s 'Golden Triangle' formed by Quinta do Lago, Vilamoura and Loulé. Right next to Vilamoura is its less glamorous neighbour Quarteira. In-between Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo are he smaller luxury developments of Dunas Douradas and Vale do Garrão.
Before you arrive at the bustling and most popular resort in the Central Algarve, Albufeira. you'll find the two purpose built resorts, Pine Cliffs and Balaia Golf Village near the town of Olhos d'Agua.
Travelling further west you’ll find the resorts of Armação de Pera, a small resort dominated by high-rise buildings and the quiet village of Porches, famed for it's pottery. A little further along the coast is Carvoeiro , a pretty little resort still with the charms of the fishing village it once was. Travelling north and inland about 13km, you'll come to the historic town of Silves, once the capital of the Algarve, lying on the banks of the River Arade.
Travelling down the River Arade to the sea, on the eastern side is a small but attractive fishing village, Ferragudo, yet to be ravished by high-rise hotel developments.
On the other side of the Arade estuary, and now in the West Algarve is Portimao, a busy fishing port and an important commercial centre in the Algarve and its off-shoot the lively Praia da Rocha. Just down the road is the quieter fishing village of Alvor.

The Vilamoura area

Loulé - Description
Within the remaining walls is a museum with an explanation of what was in the past the grandeur of the castle. The various earthquakes that it has suffered through its history have damaged the 13th Century Church of São Clemente. However, its Gothic arches and side chapels that are from the 16th Century have survived. The town Loulé consisting of some 20,000 residents is mainly concerned in producing souvenir products made out of copperware, leather, cane and wood, or, servicing the tourist industry. The weekly Fair attracts tourists from all along the Algarve. Due to the demands of the tourism this town has blossomed in size. An important event is the annual Carnival held in February that is considered to be one of the best in Portugal. In the town there is a Museum that is devoted to the local industry of dried fruits and it is interesting to see how these products are prepared for the public. To the west of the town is a hilltop Church that is built on the site of a 16th Century chapel. This is the destination of an annual religious procession that requires some physical effort on the part of the bearers of the church's religious shrines.

Loulé - Nearby Locations
Near to Loulé is Almancil a small town that acts also as a supplier of services to the prosperous holiday areas just south on the coast. Further inland is the small village of Alte, a village that is known for its un-spoilt rural architecture and its enthusiasm for folk music. Another inland village is Paderne that has a romantic 13th Century castle in ruins sitting alone on the crest of a deserted hilltop. The coastal town of Quarteira that was once a fishing village is now converted into a multi-apartment tourist location. Not too far away from Loulé is the village of Querença with its stalactite caves. Also, the village of Salir with ruins of a castle and a nearby two 800 meters long walls from the Neolithic period. The small village of Benafim existing from Arab times and within easy reach of Loulé, still reflects rural life from the early part of the last century.

This area has two added attractions in both the caves at Alto Fica and the rock face of Rocha da Pena. The towns of São Brás de Alportel and Santa Bárbara de Nexe, are both small and also demonstrate the fast disappearing Portuguese atmosphere reflecting the rural social style of life. In São Bras de Alportel there is an interesting museum that houses a permanent collection of rural artefacts and costumes truly reflecting the past manner of living in the Algarve.
