Home description
A country-style villa set in its own private walled garden. The propery is set in the orange groves just west of Valencia, so within easy access to this vibrant and coulurful city., which is about to host it's own Grand Prix.
La Distancia is perfect for those who want to get away from the Benidorm type holiday, it may not be suitable for those who want to go clubbing every night. That is why we love it!! However this does not mean it is too remote, it is only 2 kms from small town and 7 from large.
A perfect place to relax and unwind around the private pool and bar-b-que area, with no noisy neighbours to worry about.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Valencia Province region
The area around Valencia is reknowned for birds and other wildlife who live in the Albufera area just south of the city. There are huge stretches of beach North and South of Valencia, and a great water park for the kids just north of Cullera, called Aquopolis.
The city itself is well worth a visit, especially the old part around the old Central Mercado. Don't miss the dolphins at the Aquarium in the spectacular new Science and Technology Park right in the middle of Valencia.
If you are a keen cyclist or walker the villa is set in the country on the road to Pebralba and Bugarra where there is a lovely river for fishing or picnicing.
Vilamarxant area
Vilamarxant, is a small town just 2 kms from the villa. Don't be misled into thinking nothing hapens here, there is somthing lurking behind every door and much more than first meets the eye. Round the middle of August they have their very own bull running 3 times a day for the week of their festival, not to be missed.
There is a small market on Wednesday mornings in the town and everyone comes out for coffee on Sunday around midday. Great to go and sit in the square and watch the children play.
On the 2nd last Wednesday of August is the famous Tomatina Festival in the neighbouring town of Banul, all the young men of the town (and women if they are that way inclined) chuck tons of tomatoes at each other. Don't wear your Sunday best!! Great fun though.
How to get there
Fly to Valencia - "La Distancia" is just 30 mins from the airport.
There are direct flights from various English airports and Ryan Air fly from Dublin.

Further details indoors: The bedrooms are laid out as follows, there are 3 bedrooms and bathroom in the main house, and 1 double room with its own shower, toilet and basin in an annex attached to the property right beside the pool. see photo no.2. This makes it ideal for 2 families as there is a private separate area for grandparents or a 2nd couple.
Further details outdoors: Outside the house is so peaceful, there are no visible neighbours, but they are just a little further down the lane. The villa is surrounded by hills and orange groves.
The pool was only built 4 years ago, so is still very new. There is also an outdoor shower beside the pool.
Valencia is only 25 kms away with a train service just 7 kms away.
Further details
The pool is available all the time, but I would suggest the best times for swimming are May - October. The villa is very well stocked with regard to pots and pans and crockery etc.
All linen is provided including bath mats and hand towel, but you need to bring your own bath towels and beach towels.
English couple available if needed.
Conditions
Non-refundable booking deposit of 25% of total due to hold property, including £200 breakage deposit which will be refunded 1 week after vacating property once it has been checked over.
Balance due 4 weeks before departure, or if late booking full payment due when booking.
If there are small breakages eg. glasses or plates, please do your best to replace with similar.

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
We do not charge any hidden extras. If you call out the couple who look after the villa for something that is not related to the running of the villa that will be at your own expense.
Gas bottles sometimes need to be changegd at the local garage, they cost about 10 euro and we will be happy to reimburse you.
