Traditional stone house with good size garden in heart of friendly village close to river Ancora and ten minutes walk from the beach.. Inside there are exposed granite walls, beamed ceilings, a granite log fireplace and tiled floors. Outside is a large, sunny, enclosed lawned garden with modern tiled patio ideal for BBQs or soaking up the sun, and small fruit trees.
Ideally located for exploring the beautiful Minho area with the National Park of Peneda-Geres about 1 hour drive and approximately fifteen minutes from the border with Spain (Galicia). The beautiful towns of Braga, Guimaraes, Barcelos, VIana do Castelo, Caminha and Ponte de Lima all easily accessible with Porto an easy day trip.

The Costa Verde region
Beautiful undiscovered Minho area with many places of interest including historic towns, markets, local festivals. Good shopping in many towns including Viana do Castelo only 15 minutes drive. Many uncrowded sandy beaches close by. Ferry or bridge to Galicia in Spain across the River Minho
Vila Praia de Ancora / Ancora Village area
Vila Praia de Ancora has a good selection of restaurants many specialising in fish, shops, tourist office and huge sandy , uncrowded beach and River Ancora. Town festival in early September lasting several days. Ancora village has many walks to the river, sanctuary, chapels and Dolmen. There are a couple of restaurants in Ancora village and a large supermarket close by.
