The apartment is set in a quiet, tranquil area. It has an open plan Kitchen/Lounge Area. 2 double bedrooms and a shower room. There is also additional sleeping accommodation in the Lounge Area, with 1 double sofa bed.

The beaches are located approx 0.5km from the apartment and are ideal for surfing.

The village also has numerous shops, cafes and bars and caters for the sport enthusiast with tennis courts, surfing etc. The apartment is close to bicycle tracks and within minutes you can find yourself enjoying the local French countryside.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Landes region

The Landes region of France is becoming ever more popular with its long beaches and surf coastline. Further south is the old harbour village of St Jean de Luz. Over the border is the town of San Sebastian.

The town of Dax is famous for its spa treatments. The Port of Capbreton is a short drive away, it has a large marina with restaurants.

Vieux Boucau Les Bains area

Vieux Boucau is located on the coastline, boasting long sandy beaches. It is a large modern village. It has a large natural sea fed salt water lake (with its own beaches). People like to walk or cycle across the whole lake. Although a tourist town, it has still retained its village atmosphere and size.

The town and complex centres are buzzing with bars, cafes, restaurants etc. and the bull arena holds entertainment shows. The "Place de Mairie" (square outside the town hall) has live music concerts on stage every night from June to early September. These vary from modern, pop, jazz or folk music. Firework displays are held on 14th July (Bastille Day) and 15th August.

How to get there

By plane: Ryanair/Air France from Birmingham, Stansted and Luton.
Ryanair from Dublin to Biarritz. Biarritz is approx 40 min drive to Vieux Boucau
Aer Lingus and Air France to Bordeaux. Bordeaux is approx 1hr 30 min drive to Vieux Boucau.

All major car hire desks are located in the airports. Early booking is advised.
