The property is extremely comfortable and well situated for those wishing to spend time in the lovely city of Vienna and its surroundings. From Kagraner Platz Underground station to the City centre takes about 15 mins at a cost of just € 1.7. The City centre is very much a pedestrian precinct and is steeped in culture and history. Vienna is a MUST at Christmas time with its Christkindl markets, roast chestnuts, punch and hot potato stalls with street lighting that makes Oxford Street pale into insignificance. Vienna is compact and driving out into the country takes little time.

The Lower Austria/Vienna region
The climate in Vienna is fairly stable and the Weather conditions do not change as quickly as they do in the UK During the Summer it is generally about 28C and in Winter around -5C with snowy conditions. The Max and Min can range from -15C in Winter and up to 35C in Summer. Places of interest to most visitors include St. Stephen`s Cathedral, with a horse and carriage ride around the inner City. The Rathaus (Town Hall) where many interesting functions take place in its grounds throughout the year including the Christmas market and outdoor ice skating around the park paths. Schönbrunn with its majestic palace and gardens and the oldest zoo in the world. The Hofburg for the Lippizaner horse shows, the Prater funfair for the most dizzy rides in the world and the Big wheel (Riesenrad)which featured in a Bond movie. Music and art are to be found at the Opera and Stadthalle and the Museumsquartier. There is no end of entertainment in this vibrant City, just talk to the information centre or to us.
Vienna City / Kagran area
Local to Kagran we have the Donauturm (Danube Tower) with its revolving restaurant, viewing gallery and bungee jumping platform. The Tower is situated in lovely ornamental gardens which are a joy to walk around particularly in spring time. The Danube is closeby for your river trip to Melk or Dürnstein or just for a view of the surroundings. There is a fast Hydrofoil to Bratislava to purchase some lead crystal glass (was Czechoslovakia, renowned for its glass)and to see the ancient City. And there is still more........
How to get there
Fly to Vienna International Airport (Schwechat). Car hire available at Airport ie. Hertz, Avis etc. There is secure parking available in our basement on request.
The Apartment is located between Kagran and Kagranerplatz underground stations although slightly nearer to Kagranerplatz
Taxi to the flat available from Airport. Cost about €30.- and takes about 25 mins dependent on time of day.
Fast train ( CAT ) available from Airport to Landstrasse then take the Undergound U3 and U1 to Kagranerplatz and walk or get a local taxi approx. 300m.
Airport bus directly to Kagran then walk 5 mins or short taxi ride from the station to the apartment.
Airport bus to UNOcity ( Vienna International Centre) then Underground U1, three stops to Kagranerplatz.

Further details outdoors: The apartment is situated in a quiet area but very close to most amenities. Supermarket, Bookshop, Photographic, Restaurants and Heurige are closeby, within 200 metres. Local buses, taxis and trams together with the Underground are all very accessible and reasonably priced. The large Donauzentrum ( DZ ) is a super air conditioned shopping mall with every type of shop you can imagine and is only one stop on the bus or a short walk away. There is a swimming pool and ice skating rink in Kagran and one stop on the tube takes you to the Old Danube (alte Donau) for sailing, rowing and water sports.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. The apartment may be rented mostly according to your wishes ie. A weekend, a long weekend, Monday to Friday or any other combination provided the dates do not conflict with another request. The charges would be 76.00 Euro per day or reduced to 495 Euro per week. Lettings in excess of one week would be the weekly charge plus a daily charge of 68 Euros for the additional days. Lettings longer than 14 days would be negotiable. Preferred payment would be to an Austrian Bank using electronic transfer from your own Bank. A deposit of 100 Euros is required to secure the letting and to cover lost keys etc. Cancellation less than 14 days before the letting would forfeit the deposit A cleaning charge of 30 Euros will be required with the letting Settlement monies owed to you at the end of the letting will be returned to you on exchange of keys.
