This new one bedroom apartment with open country views is situated in a peaceful area of Victoria, but still within walking distance of all amenities and attractions. Being situated in the centre of the island, it is an ideal base to explore Gozo by car, as well as for walking or hiking holidays to explore the surrounding beautiful countryside, villages and bays.

It consists of an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with a very comfortable sofa bed that easily sleeps two small children or one adult. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for a holiday including, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and washing machine/dryer. There is also a television in the living area with cable TV channels and a telephone.

There is also an air-conditioned double bedroom with plenty of storage space, linen, towels and warm bedding and a bathroom with shower.

This apartment is located within a large townhouse but has its own separate private entrance from the main road. There is ample parking space in front of the apartment.


Although this apartment is ideal for a couple, it can cater for up to 3 adults; or for 2 adults and 2 small children comfortably.

The Island of Gozo region

Gozo is the second largest island of the Maltese Archipelago. The climate consists of warm summers and mild winters and this makes it an ideal holiday destination at any time of the year. Gozo has a varied geology with typical flat-topped hills.

The population of this island is over 31000 people which amounts to one-twelfth of the overall population of Malta, with Gozo covering approximately one-third of the area of mainland Malta. This means that the island of Gozo is not overpopulated, and therefore greener and quite more peaceful.

Places of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Victoria and its attractions
- the Dwejra bay area including the Azure window, inland sea, fungus rock, and the Blue Hole (voted one of Europe's top 10 diving sites)
- Ta' Pinu Basilica
- Ramla Bay and Calypso Cave
- Ggantija temples: a megalithic temple complex erected during the Copper Age (c. 3,600-2,500 B.C.)
- Ta'Cenc: one of the few remaining tracts of open countryside left in the Maltese Islands. An area of outstanding scenic beauty, it is also a vital habitat for dwindling communities of rare plants and animals.

Considering that Gozo has an area of 67 square kms with a length of 14 kms and width of 7 kms, all areas of Gozo are within easy walking /driving distance from it's centre-Victoria.

This apartment is a short walk to the centre of the town of Victoria which is the capital city of Gozo. Since Victoria is in the centre of the island, the location of the apartment is an ideal base to explore the surrounding island. Every beach, village or attraction is only a short drive away and due to the small size of the island, everywhere can be reached on foot for those who prefer walking. The main bus station is only a short walk up the road.


VICTORIA includes both the Citadel, the ancient city of the Island, as well as Rabat, the old suburb of the Citadel. There are many places of historical and cultural interest in Victoria and a visit to the Citadel is considered a must. From these fortifications one can enjoy a superb view of the whole Island. Within the Citadel there is the beautiful St. Mary's Cathedral and the Law Courts, as well as the Cathedral Museum, the Gozo Museum of Archaeology, the Folklore Museum, the Citadel Armoury, the Folklore Museum, the Old Prison, and the Natural Science Museum.

In Victoria there is an open market in Independence square that shares the square with several open air cafes, as well as the magnificent St.George's Basilica and other churches. A web of narrow streets around St. George's Basilica are the oldest in town and are worth a walk around. There are also all amenities in Victoria including the bus station, shops, restaurants, banks and grocery stores.

There are two major feasts in the centre of Victoria which are the feast of St. George in July and the week long celebrations of the feast of Assumption of the Virgin Mary, with the main day of festivities being on the 15th of August. These feasts are characterised by church functions, band marches in the streets, horse racing, decorations, lights and wonderful fireworks displays.

The apartment is also a 25 minute walk or 5 minute drive to MARSALFORN, which is the most popular summer resort on the Island. Here there are many restaurants that cater to any taste as well as a sandy and pebbly beach and rocky platforms to swim from. From here one can also take a boat cruise around Gozo or to Comino island. There are also a diving school offering a variety of diving destinations.

How to get there

Getting to Malta:
Many airlines provide service to Malta International Airport including Air Malta, British Airways, Lufthansa, Emirates and budget airlines such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Click Air, German Wings and Volare Airways etc.

Getting to Gozo:

A direct Non- Stop scheduled bus service to and from the Malta International Airport and Cirkewwa harbour is offered by the Gozo Channel Company and tickets can be purchased on board the bus, or pre-booked on telephone number +356-22109001
Tickets are €5 per person.

Taxi service is available 24 hours a day from Malta International Airport to any destination in Malta. Fixed rates are applicable and pre-paid tickets can be purchased from the ticket booth inside the Welcomers' Hall on Arrivals. Rate to Cirkewwa is around €30.
