The Limousin/Auvergne region

The Auvergne is a beautiful region of France, as yet largely undiscovered by the British.

It caters for a wide variety of interests such as walking, cycling, sports and general sightseeing, and of course relaxing and enjoying the French way of life.

There are shops and restaurants in nearby villages, and the nearest town, Varennes Sur Allier, is only a 10 minute drive away.

Langy is 20k from the elegant spa city of Vichy with its parks, sporting facilities, restaurants, casino, cinemas, concerts, shops and opportunity to take the waters.

The last weekend in August is the time of the annual Langy fete, with a barbecue for the whole village on Saturday evening, and a 'brocante' (bric a brac fair) which takes over the whole village on Sunday.
