Vias is 10 minutes south of the major A9 motorway, which connects the impressive cathedral towns of Toulouse and Narbonne, the unbelievable spectacle of Carcassone, as well as the Spanish border, offering fascinating day trips in every direction.

The melodic bells of the fortified church of St. Jean Baptiste (1394-1424) ring out over Vias, its streets lined with colorful homes, many adorned with carved Italianate doorways of black volcanic stone.
Every Wednesday morning from April to September, and on Saturdays all year, the heart of Vias bustles with market stalls brimming with local and traditional products. The shaded canal offers holiday delights, whether from a hired boat, or a walk or bicycle ride along its towpaths.

"Great stay in quirky wee town house"
All the facilities we needed, packed ingeniously into this little 2-storey town house in the middle of the historic Mairie (old town). Local produce markets everyday, great range of restaurants, local… More

"Great little house in great location"
This little house provided a real home from home during our stay in Vias being cosy, clean and comfortable. The owners had provided everything you could need with regard to equipment, and we were greeted on arrival with a bottle of rose, nibbles, milk, and coffee/tea which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The only reservation I would have is the staircase which is steep and winding, if you have mobility difficulties this would present a problem although for us it just added to the house's charm.. It is located on a peaceful square literally round the corner from the centre of the village, where most of the local bars, and restaurants are located. Vias itself is well situated, within walking distance of various beaches and the Canal du Midi, and a short bus ride away from the bustling riverside town of Agde. We visited in June when the village was relatively quiet, although there were two weekly markets on a Wednesday and Saturday when the village came alive. Getting there was very easy, Bezier Airport being less than 10 minutes away, with a local shuttle bus running to and from the airport to meet the flights. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

"This house had everything for a restful, relaxing vacation"
The property is very well located, in the middle of Vias and within walking distance to supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, Vias Plage, and the Canal du Midi. The house was recently renovated, with everything inside being brand new and what really stood out was the landlord's attention to detail. There were cleaning supplies there already, and laundry detergent and and towels, which was really nice since I'd just arrived from the US and was tired from the long flight.
The owner was very helpful throughout my stay, helping out with anything that came up and going out of his way to make sure that my experience was as pleasant as possible. This house is a great place to spend a week or a month, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
