The property is on the ground level, plenty of light in all rooms, patio doors from the kitchen with is fully equipped with gas cooker hob, fridge, microwave all new, table and 4 chairs, more chairs available. large bright room. 1st Bedroom has a double bed and fully furnished, 2nd bedroom as 2 single beds, with wardrobe, travel and full size cot available. Washing machine and ironing facilities.There is a English TV/DVD , Highchair, Travelling cot and full size cot available.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
Verteillac is a very old town in the Dordogne region and is therefore very popular with tourists, but not over indulged, and also very central to the main towns of Angouleme, to the north about 54 km, this is a large and newly improved town and very well a visit. To the South is Perigueux, which is the main town and sthe capital of te Dordogne, again very worth a visit as it is full of old history.
Another places of great interest ar.e Brantome, Aubeterre, Nontron. The weather is usually very good and warm from May until October, although there may be the odd thunderstorm as we have in UK, but usually quickly reverts to the warm weather.
Verteillac area
Verteillac has activities every weekends throughout the summer months arranged the market square, every Saturday, there is a small market again home grown produce. There is a small art gallery, Antique shop, which is owned by an English family. You can sit at any of the Cafe,Bars inside or outside and see the locals go by and they all pass the time of day, usually in french but make you very welcome. There is also a Horse stable in the village where you can either book a lesson and hack.
How to get there
TRAVEL It is approximately 50 minutes drive from Bergerac Airport, 80 minutes from Bordeaux and 2 hours from Poitiers and Limoges Airports (Car hire at the airports can be arranged at time of booking your flights, this is usually done at a cheaper rate, also includes children's safety seats and booster seats if arranged at the time of bookings. You can now fly from Gatwick into Bergerac.
It is 7-8 hour drive from Calais all motorway driving until the last 40 minutes and this is through villages but still good driving, the roads are very good. The A motorways are toll charged, which usually costs about 50 euros each way, but well worth paying.

Further details indoors: The house is 2 apartments but can also be used a family house and has been refurbished and decorated throughout and is very clean and bright.
Further details outdoors: There is a large drive to park off the road. The gardens back and front are safe for children to play in as the only entrance is via the front of the house, with 2 double gates on either side.
The swimming pool is a raised one with a step ladder, there is also a solid play boat for tiny children to play safely in also a plastic paddling pool.
There are also a variety of toys and games to play with.

A 25% non refundable deposit is required when booking and the balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arriving.
In addition a £100 deposit against breakages and extra cleaning if necessary, and this will be returned 2 weeks after leaving and will paid direct into your bank account.
