B&B in this very pretty cottage gives you total privacy in relaxing rural surroundings. The Cottage is only a very sort distance from the thriving village of Verteillac with a choice of good bars and quality restaurants, and an impressive flea market held the first Sunday in the month. The town of Riberac is just down the road where you will find plenty of French charm, and the very popular Friday market. Of course you will want to explore the beauty spots of the Dordogne, many are within easy reach of The Cottage location. A trip to Royan Coast with take less than two hours. The Cottage kitchen is equipped so that guests may make a light meal only. Please note that The Cottage is not marketed as a gite. Fresh bread or coissants will be delivered to your door each morning and other supplies left for your convenience. Unlike the conventinal B&B my guest are able to come and go as they wish, they are totally independent.

About this location
The Dordogne region
This area of SW France has long been a favorite with English people due to the historical connection and, the picturesque rolling green countryside. Exploring the many beautiful churches, caves and chateaux's, canoeing on the rivers, or eating el fresco are some of the delights of France. There are plenty of man made beaches CLOSE BY that are safe and extremely well kept to tempt you to a lazy day in the sun. But, you shouldn't miss the vineyards of St Emilion, a sight to behold...just an hour 20mins away. Very close are two very active villages, many good restaurant and bar's. Bergerac is a lovely town on the river, interesting architecture and good shopping. The town of Brantome will fascinate you, the Abbey with the oldest bell tower in France, the river flowing around the town gives it the title "Venice of the Dordogne" Enjoy it all..
