About the home

Croix de Coeur is situated on the ground floor and has a small garden off the living room. It is centrally located and nicely decorated with two bedrooms and open plan living/dining area.

Croix de Coeur is a lovely two bedroom property located three minutes walk from Place Centrale in the centre of Verbier and approx. eight minutes walk to the main lift station at Medran. The apartment is nicely furnished and benefits from a large garden off the living room and garage parking.

The Swiss Alps / Valais/Swiss Alps region

The Valais region is easily accessible and has some great local wines and cheeses. The Swiss Alps are better known for their winter season and the Valais region must be one of the most famous. With views of Mont Blanc in one direction and the Matterhorn in the other, Verbier is well placed for some amazing views.

Located in the south-west of Switzerland, Valais borders onto both France and Italy which provides access to a number of smaller ski areas as well as the large resort of Verbier.

The Verbier area

Verbier is located in the Swiss Alps and has excellent winter activities including skiing, sledging, snowboarding. It is famous for its off piste skiing and is part of the 4 Vallees ski area. In the summer months, Verbier offers various mountain bike trails and amazing walks and hosted the Tour de France in 2009.

Verbier's nearest airport is Sion airport and this is 40 minutes away by train or taxi - Snowjet operates flights on Saturdays and Sundays from the UK to Sion, and is a new airline that launched in December 2009.

Alternatively, Geneva airport is less than two hours by car or transfer from Verbier and there is also a regular train service to Le Chable at the base of Verbier via Martigny from the airport that takes approx. two and a half hours in total. Once in Verbier, there is a free bus service throughout the village and as such, there is no need for a car once you are here.
