Home description
This spacious duplex house suitable for families is situated in lush landscaped grounds but has its own private garden just a few metres from a large infinity pool. It has a large sun/shaded patio with table and chairs just right to enjoy a sundowner on the balmy evenings overlooking the beautiful lake.
From breakfast on the balcony to the last minute of the day, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The resorts of Vera and Mojacar are just 10 drive minutes away, the beautiful beaches are within easy reach and the golf is superb. Valle del Este offers local access to all the amenities you need for relaxing holiday.

The Costa de Almeria region
Costa de Almeria is less well known that the other Southern Spanish Costas but has everything to offer the holidaymaker who wants something different to the hustle and bustle of the better known regions of Spain. It has year round sunshine (average 312 days of sun) and the lowest rainfall. Even in winter the temperature can reach 20 deg. The coastline is spectacular with miles of unspoilt blue flag sandy beaches. The Cabo de Gata Natural Park is within easy reach
Mojacar - The Playa - this has a beautiful long beach promenade, ideal for an evening stroll. There are lots of restaurants catering to everyone's taste and pocket. There is also a pretty shopping mall with lots of small shops selling unusual and traditional Spanish goods. As well as the lovely beaches, ideal for families, there is quadbiking, kitesurfing, diving, horseriding available in the area. Approximately 15 minutes drive from the apartment.
Mojacar - The Pueblo - this is a traditional 'white village' perched on the hillside. This quaint village is hundreds of years old and you can see Moorish influences everywhere. It well worth a visit to saunter along the picturesque narrow streets, that barely accommodate a small car, to experience the traditional pace of life.
Garrucha - a fishing port with a large marina offering daily freshly caught fish dishes from the many fine restaurants along a pretty boulevard. Sea fishing and boat trips are available from the marina. Approximately 8 minutes drive from the apartment.
Turre - a small village off the tourist trail has a variety of good tapas bars for you to experience the typical Spanish atmosphere. Go-karting is available on the road to Turre and is approximately 10 minutes away from the apartment.
Villaricos - a small port ,is a quiet neighbour to Vera and has many fine small sandy coves, with an undeveloped coastline perfect for a tranquil day at the beach. Diving is available from here. Approximately 15 minutes from the apartment.
Tabernas - about 25 minutes away. This is the town where a lot of the ‘spaghetti’ westerns were filmed. They still have the sets and you can go round and have a look. The saloon is also open -so you can enjoy a bite to eat and drink as a 'cowboy'.
Carboneras - is 30 minutes away and is a beautiful unspoilt village situated almost in the Natural Park. Take the coastal road and enjoy the spectacular scenery as you climb through the mountains and down to the unspoilt beach.
Almeria - the capital town - is approximately 45 minutes drive. It has many large department stores and malls which greatly contrast the wonderful Moorish architecture of the more traditional buildings. Visit the interesting Cathedral and the 10th century, Moorish built , Alcazaba fortress (which is free to EU citizens between October and March).
Granada - is approximately 2 hours drive away. It is visible from miles away, perched beneath the snowcapped peaks of the Sierra Nevada (perfect for skiing in the winter). It is well worth visiting the City to see the Alhambra Palace with its ancient history reflected in its beautiful architecture.
Vera / Valle Del Este Golf Resort area
Vera - the main town of the area. It has a long history involving the Moors and Christians. Vera has many tiny winding streets with traditional shops and restaurants. There is a large market on Saturdays and has a large local park perfect for family picnics and safe for playing children. The nearest large supermarket is only about 5 kms from golf complex, The food is cheap and there is a very large choice of fresh, frozen and canned/packaged food and stocks UK produce. The whole town shuts for siesta between 2 and 5 but reopens in the evening.
There is a water park approximately 5 minutes drive, perfect for families.
Valle del Este is a unique PGA championship 18 hole golf course, opened in 2002; it is 6260 yards, par 71 with driving range 270 meters long 100 meters wide. The course was designed by Jose Canales to perfectly integrate into the surrounding landscape. The round of golf is challenging and impressive. The tees are small platforms encircled by volcanic rock. There are three 'experience' levels at each tee. The greens are extensive and generous.
The pro shop is well stocked. Tuition is available as well as golf clubs and buggy hire. There is a driving range (with a cooling mist to keep you cool on sunny days) and a game/putting green.
The impressive 140 roomed Valle del Este Hotel is 4*, with large pool/spa and has numerous bars and café/restaurants and is a short walk from the complex. The hotel facilities are available for use by guests of the apartment.
Within the resort is a small commercial centre providing everything you need on site. There is a bank, newsagent, tapas bar, restaurant, internet cafe, hairdresser, souvenir shops, a golf-themed English run bar (offering tea/coffee/cakes and a pizza delivery and large screen TV) and a small supermarket stocking basic items.
The resort also offers Padel Tennis, the Spa and swimming pool with children's play area and an open air bar/cafe situated overlooking the pool. There is also a signposted 'nature walk' around the resort and golf course.
There are other golf courses in Mojacar, Turre and Desert Springs in Cuevas de Almanzora (25 minutes away).
How to get there
Valle del Este is very conveniently situated off the main E15 motorway, approximately 45 minutes from Almeria airport.
Almeria is serviced by numerous budget airlines at very competitive prices. Easyjet from London Gatwick and Bristol; Ryanair from London Stansted and Belfast; Monarch from Birmingham, London Luton and Manchester; BMI Baby from Birmingham and Cardiff
Alternative airports include Alicante (approximately 2 hours drive) or Murcia (approximately 1 hours drive).
We would recommend car hire. This is available from the airport but would be cheaper if you pre book, we would recommend www.Carjet.com – very competitive and have used them for 9 years with no problems).

It is approximately 30 paces to the large shared infinity swimming pool, which has its own underground shower/washing and toilet facilities. The walkways and exteriors are illuminated at night.
