The famous local catch is the red prawns, which are only caught in this area of the Mediterranean Sea. Garrucha is famous for its magnificent golden sandy beach, the only blue flag town beach in Europe.

How to get there
There are three airport options that are available; Almeria, Murcia and Alicante. Almeria is 45mins, Murcia is 1hr and Alicante is 1hr30mins.
All the budget airlines fly into one or all of these airports including; BMI Baby, Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Ryanair and Monarch.
There are several car hire companies at all the airports, Mo-Car, Crown are the local ones and all the usual big names are at the airports. Also we offer an airport collection service price dependant on the airport.
To find the apartment is very straightforward from any of the airports because it is directly off the main motorway (A7/E15) that runs along the Mediterranean coastline from Gibraltar to Costa Brava. From Almeria Airport follow the direction of Murcia and from Murcia and Alicante follow the signs for Almeria and Malaga.
