This luxury 2 bed/2 bath apartment is set within a secure gated complex only a short distance from the beach and local amenities such as bars, restaurants and shops. The apartment has a spacious balcony with views over the development, the sea and one of the outdoor grassed swimming pool areas.
The indoor pool with steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi, foot massage and gym is inside the complex only 30 metres away from the apartment making this location ideal for both summer and winter. The award winning development has internal tennis courts and kids play areas as well as two outdoor swimming pools and two kids pools.
Surrounding the area are many beaches and coastline as well as closeby waterworld aqua park. You can drive to an authentic spaghetti western showarea with superb zoo, venture to glorious lakes, find a hot spring and bathe, go walking in the mountains, or why not just relax in the sunshine with a cool drink. This part of Spain enjoys most days sunshine per year !

The Costa de Almeria region
Andalucia is the sunniest and warmest place of Spain with over 320 days of sunshine every year (many Spanish people venture to this area during the winter months seeking the sunshine).
The coast line offers miles of golden beaches as well as secluded stone beaches running both north and south of the site with amazing coastline walks both along the beach or the mountains or just to relax and enjoy the sea, sun, sand and maybe a snack or drink from one of the tastefully placed beach bars. Or if you (or the kids) can not get enough of water there is the local water park with an array of slides and pools situated within walking distance from the apartment (25 minutes) or alternatively the bus stops straight outside. The nearest town, Vera, is only 5 minutes drive away. It is a beautiful old town with supermarkets, shops, boutiques and, of cause, a weekly market. There are plenty of restaurants and a beautiful town square. It even has its own bull ring! Should you be so unlucky to need it then there is medical centre placed centrally in vera, which is manned 24/7. There are so many great towns along the coast line. Mojacar Pueblo (village), for instance, is an ancient Moorish village located on the top of a mountain with views over the sea. It holds its annual Moor and Christian festival in June with the spanish tradition of fireworks, paellas and musicand the weekly market is on every Wednesday. Mojacar playa is approximately 15 minutes drive from the apartment and has miles of sandy beach, shops, restaurants and cafes along a beautifully set promenade. Another town worth visiting is Garrucha, which is an old fishing village with many seafood restaurants - particularly famous for its Garrucha Prawns that are fished only in the local waters. This is approximately 10 mintues drive away. The last town that must be mentioned is Carboneras, which is approximately 20 minutes drive away. It is particularly great in the less hot part of the year as the cafes and restaurants are sheltered directly on the beach with a real Spanish feel to it. For those more adventurous the scenic mountains are full of interesting caves - many of which were previously inhabited or maybe you fancy scuba diving in Aguilas, which is specifically recognised for its underwater landscapes and there are not less than 4 golf courses and a golf range within 20 mintues drive of the apartment.
Carboneras is approximately 20 minutes drive away where the cafes and restaurants are directly on the beach and with a real Spanish feel to it.
Vera area
If you prefer not to take your car with you everywhere there is a bus only a few minutes walk from the apartment that services a good part of the coastal area, Vera and two of the local supermarkets - and of cause, bars and restaurants if you wish to leave the car at home when going out on the night. The bus also drives to Parque Aquatico Vera, which is the local 'Water World' with lots of flumes and fun for the whole family - and only 2 minutes drive from the apartment by car, 25 minutes walk or, as mentioned, a short distance by bus.
Worth a visit is Mini Hollywood (45 min drive) which used to be a site for recording of Westerns (A fistful of Dollars, The good, the Bad and the Ugly, and the Magnificent Seven to mention a few). There are daily shows and cowboys riding around on horses. Included within the site is the stunning Zoo where the animals are behind screens of glass for that real nature feel or roaming free up the mountain site. Also inside the area is a pooled area with flumes to cool down the whole family on those hot summer days.
In the visinity is also the astonishing turquise Lake Negratin (1 hr drive) with its all year hot springs - don't forget the swimming costumes for a hot dip!
There are 4 Golf courses within 20 minutes drive of the apartment- including the famous Desert Spring which is the only Desert golf course in Europe and there is gocarting within a short drive for those in the racing mood.
Every town has a weekly market lf varing size and offering a wide variety of local produce and goods and Mojacar village also holds an annual Moor and Christian festival in June.
Scuba diving is organised in several places along the coast line but probably most famous in Aguilas. The local council is furthermore promoting cycling and a network of bicycle paths is developing

Conditions
From the parking space there are two small sets of steps to climb. The central area is lower and there is an electric lift for access down and up. The lift stops at the next level up or down from the apartment so there are only a few steps to climb.
