The Costa de Almeria region
Costa de Almeria, in the southeast of Spain, is known as one of the most unspoilt regions in Spain and is a great place to experience the Andalusian life-style.
The climate of Almeria is sub-tropical or Mediterranean, warm and dry and enjoys an average of 320 sunny days per year making it a tourist destination throughout the year with many beautiful beaches including Vera Playa, Mojacar Playa, Playa del Algarrobico and Playa de los Muertos in the local area.
To the north of the Costa de Almeria are naturist beaches of Vera. Further south is Mojacar which successfully combines the popular beach holiday with the hillside white village that tourist love to explore. The rugged coastline has numerous attractive fishing villages scattered along it. In Almeria city, itself, it is worth a visit to the Alcazaba castle as well as the large shopping mall. To the west of Almeria City is the developed tourist resorts of Roquetas de Mar, Aguadulce and Almerimar.
There are several National Parks nearby to experience and families will enjoy visiting the nearby “Mini Hollywood” where many “spaghetti westerns” were filmed. Other nearby attractions include Water park, good quality golf courses and good eating.
Vera Playa / Al Andalus Thalassa area
The Al Andalus Thalassa residential complex is a gated community with private secure gardens. It is located just 1km from the extensive sandy beach at Vera Playa (an area of which is reserved for naturists) and a short drive up the coast there are several rocky coves ideal for snorkelling. Scuba diving and boat trips are also available locally.
There is a large supermarket a few minutes drive away, and a shopping centre with bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. For leisure activities there is a water park a few minutes drive away, scenic walks and access to the best golf courses in the area ; Valle D’Este and Desert Springs golf courses are both around 15 minutes away.
The town of Vera has quaint cobbled streets, where a market is held every Saturday morning. Here you will find locally produced fruit and vegetables, typical Spanish arts and crafts, along with a huge array of other products for sale.
The coastal resort of Garrucha is five minutes away, with fabulous sandy beaches, good selection of shops and restaurants specializing in freshly caught seafood and a cuisine to cater for all tastes. Mojácar village is 10 minutes away, a pretty Spanish town set in the hillside, overlooking the coast and beautiful mountain ranges.
This is a very quiet and uncommercialised area which is ideal for all year round sunshine, so whether you are looking for a family beach holiday, a place to golf or a walking break, this is the ideal place for your perfect holiday.

For your convenience a meet and greet service is available at a cost of £20, this is only available up to 11pm. For arrivals after 11pm keys will be available for collection from a night safe.
