About the home

Our home from home apartment is well appointed, situated close to the blue flag beaches of Puerto Rey with 11km of uncrowded sand. We have a large terrace with mosaic patio table and 4 chairs and two large sun loungers. This is an ideal outside living and dining area, which overlooks the very tempting main pool, where you can top up your tan in the afternoon sun. But whatever the weather you can enjoy being outside because the terrace is partially covered. Within walking distance of the apartment, there is an Aquapark (open during the summer season). Close by, there are shops, bars and restaurants and 3 very good supermarkets. For the golf lover you are spoilt for choice - at least 7 eighteen hole golf courses within 20 minutes drive. If you have never tried golf there is a set of clubs for the use of guests. There is a driving range 100m from the apartment with sauna, gym, restaurant and bar. Desert Springs Golf Club is well worth a visit even if you are not a golfer! You may rub shoulders with famous sports personalities!

Nearby is the fishing port of Garrucha, the pretty village of Villaricos and the lovely old town of Vera with its very old bull ring. All these places have their street markets, where many bargains can be found. Mojacar is a family resort with plenty of bars, restaurants, ice-cream parlours, beach bars and a long promenade for a relaxing stroll by the sea. There are many activities in this area including micro lighting, horse riding, quad biking, banana boating etc etc. The quaint picturesque white village of Mojacar is a must to see.

There are so many places to see and visit in the area the choice is yours - burn up some energy or just have a quiet relaxing holiday. We have our own private parking just space outside the apartment.

The large terrace at the rear of the apartment has a large mosaic patio table and chairs plus two sun loungers.

The door from the separate kitchen leads on to the patio at the front. Both bedrooms have patio doors, the double leading on to the terrace and the twin room leading to the patio.

Guest are welcome to use the solarium at the top of the building, which provide stunning views.

There are two swimming pools and a children's play area - this can be seen from the apartment, therefore enabling parents to keep an eye on children.

Our representatives meet all guests, supplying keys and a short explanation of how everything works. They are a friendly couple who will be happy to help should you need it. A welcome pack is provided on arrival.
We have our own parking space outside the apartment for the use of guests.

The Costa de Almeria region

Costa de Almeria is in the south east corner of Spain, one of the least known costas, which is less densely populated than other coastal areas and has far fewer high rise buildings. It has the only designated desert in Europe, it boasts an average of over 300 days per year of sunshine.

Places of interest include Mini Hollywood, remember the Good the Bad and the Ugly with Clint Eastwood and the spaghetti westerns? They were all filmed here.

The Vera Playa / Residencial el Faro Puerto Rey area

Puerto Rey has all the facilities needed to make your holiday a success. We are on a bus route if you do not have a car. Our apartment is a genuine 7 minute walk to the clean uncrowded beach. Sorbas is known for it's potteries, and also the Gysum caves nearby - quite an adventure!

The fishing village of Garrucha has many sea food restaurants and if you arrive when the fishing boats are in you can see the fish being auctioned to local restaurateurs. All local villages and towns on this Costa seem to have their own festivals and saints days occurring throughout the year.

All the towns and villages around have their own markets where virtually anything can be bought and bargains are to be found.
