About the home

Luxury and comfortable apartment on the first floor (70 sq. m) with 2 bedrooms (one double, one twin), 2 bathrooms (one with bath), lounge/dining room, fully fitted and well equipped kitchen and large balcony. Set within a gated, secure private urbanization. All luxury you need is there including air conditioning, TV, balcony with table and chairs etc.
There is a superb beach nearby with a vast number of other beaches and coves within 15 minutes. Garrucha and Mojacar are the nearest towns, both full of character and history with lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Visit the market for a taste of the local culture (days listed at apartment in an information booklet).
The area is fantastic for a golfing holiday with 4 good golf courses within 15 minutes and 3 more courses within 30 minutes. Tennis and padel tennis are also available with courts within 5 minutes.

The complex is gated and secure and has a horseshoe layout with facilities in the middle which is traffic free. It has a lovely outdoor pool and an indoor pool which is open over the winter months. There is a play area for the children with a slide and swings.

The Costa de Almeria region

This historical area of Almeria enjoys unbeatable climate throughout the year, estimated to be more than 3000 hours of sunshine a year, with extensive facilities like Golf, Tennis, Diving etc close to hand. The region offers the fullest range of sun and beach leisure in the country, with long, well maintained and facilitated beaches.

The Costa Almeria is completely unspoilt.

At the north of the Costa de Almeria, which is where the apartment is located, are the beaches of Vera. A little further south is Mojacar which successfully combines the popular beach holiday with the hillside white village that tourist love to explore.

To the east of Almeria there is the rugged and desolate coast of the Cabo del Gato-Nijar natural park which is an arid desert landscape with an annual rainfall of less than 200mm. It is sparsely populated, few villages and a very low population density. Visitors feel a sense of exploration here as many of the coves can only be reached on foot. This area is particularly popular with nature lovers and back-packers. The most popular coastal village is San José.

West of Almeria is the highly developed tourist resorts of Roquetas de Mar and Aqua Dulce. These have all the facilities of any modern resort to support the package holiday market.

Almeria city is worth a visit with the Alcazaba castle overlooking the metropolis

To the west we find the developing complex of Almerimar with Marinas, golf, hotels and many other facilities.

The Vera Playa / Salinas de Vera area

1.5 Km from the apartment. you will find 11 km of long beaches in the municipality of Vera, Garrucha, Villaricos and Mojacar, blue flag granted by the European Community, and very near to the beautiful virgin beaches of Cabo de Gata with its protected underwater regions, ideal for scuba diving.

There are superb golf course within 15 minutes (Desert Springs, Valle Des Este, Mojacar Marina, San Juan) and many more slightly further away.

A number of very interesting towns within 10 minutes: Vera old traditional Spanish town with magnificent Bull Ring; Garrucha, busy little fishing harbour with good local shops, fish restaurants and bars; Mojacar Pueblo, picturesque Moorish village on the hill. Mojacar Playa, superb restaurants, bars and clubs

There are supermarkets, restaurants and bars within 1 Km.

There is an Aquatic park within 1 km which is fun for all the family.(parque acuatico vera)

There are many high quality tennis courts within 2 Km.

There is a Go Karts track within 7 Km

Large local market moves around and takes place most days of the week in the summer in the nearby towns and villages

Very accessible by air with three airports all serviced extensively by the budget airlines.

The nearest airport is Almeria about a 50 minute drive (along motorway).

Murcia is slightly further, about 1 hour and 20 minutes with a very easy drive along a newly built motorway (toll road 12 euros).

Alicante is about 2 hours away again with an easy drive along a motorway.

The closest bus station is in Vera, 4 km away.

“Had a fabulous week staying here last August. Going for 2 weeks this summer!!!” The property was well equipped and spotless. There was plenty of room for the four of us. (Not that we were indoors much). It was hot as you would expect in August but the airconditioning was very efficient. Great location for the large pool which was never crowded and kept very clean. Beautiful uncrowded beach nearby and two supermarkets both very close. We played tennis, went to the local waterpark, had a go on the driving range up the road and raced go karts on the nearby track. Will be goung again next year!!

Have been twice now, the girls love the pool and the beach, Mojacar is lovely - Angela and Sean

Had a great holiday, we explored the area and relaxed by the pool, the weather was perfect - Jane and Gareth
