About the home

The property has been built in an attractive and distinctively Andalucian style on a beautiful new enclosed residential complex with controlled access in Vera on the Costa de Almeria. The Apartment consists of three bedrooms comfortably sleeping six to eight people.

The apartment has one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the baths has bath, shower, wc and bidet whereas the second one has enclosed shower and wc. There is access from the double bedroom and the sitting room to a large terrace which enjoys the sunshine for most of the day with views of the sea and well kept gardens and outdoor swimming pool of the development. Third bedroom and the kitchen have the views of Mojacar Puebla in the distant mountains. The lounge/diner is very comfortably furnished with large HD LCD television (with SKY basic), DVD, hi-fi and playstation . The fully fitted kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing maching. There is air-conditioning and central heating. There is a furnished patio at the back of the apartment overlooking the gardens and outdoor swimming pool area of the development. FREE WIFI access is also available at the apartment.

The property benefits from attractive landscaped gardens with tropical plants and water features. There are two outdoor pools, two children's pools, fully equipped spa and fitness centre, an indoor heated pool and tennis courts. Spa has jacuzzi, sauna, turkish bath and water jet.

The apartment is finished to a very high standard both inside and out, and has Spanish tiling fitted throughout the apartment. All soft furnishings and fittings in the apartment are of a very high quality. You have every thing available to you to enjoy your stay. All cutlery, crockery, bed linen towels, spare linen, duvets, spare mattresses for extra guests, table and chairs on terrace including a sun lounger, large HD LCD, SKY (Basic) hi-fi, play station and much more.

A private covered parking space is available for those renting the apartment.
The apartment is situated very close to the communal indoor swimming pool and spa facilities. Outdoor swimming pool and full size tennis courts are also close to the apartment. Spa has heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, turkish bath, water jet and gym. Beautifully landscaped gardens and children's play area are also an attractive part of the complex. For those who want to have access to the internet, an internet cafe is only two minutes drive.

The Costa de Almeria region

Almería is the warmest and driest region in Europe with an average annual temperature of 19 C. Tabernas is located 24 kilometres from Almeria and is situated in the only desert in Europe. Summer temperatures can reach 45C. Tabernas was used for the production of spaghetti westerns and various film sets built into the desert have been transformed into three theme parks, the best known of which is Mini Hollywood. More than 100 films were shot here, including A Fistful of Dollars and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. In Tabernas/Mini Hollywood there is a daily mock bank hold-up and shootout staged at 12 and 5pm. There is a small zoo with lions, elephants, giraffes, brown bears, etc. There is also a swimming pool, cafe/restaurant and children's playground. Nearby is Texas Hollywood which was also used as a set and has a Western town, fort, Mexican pueblo and Indian tepees.

The coast of Almeria offers a wide variety of sporting activities. Water enthusiasts can enjoy diving in the crystal clear sea beds of the bays around the Cabo de Gata National park, water skiing, windsurfing or sailing. Other activities include walking in the mountains, cycling, horse riding and exploration of caves. This area has many unspoilt beaches and secluded coves for visitors to enjoy.

Sierra Nevada ski resort of Pradolllano is only 2.5 hours drive away from the resort. It is reasonably priced and because of its altitude has a long season opening at the end of November and closing at the end of April.

The Vera Playa / Al Andalus Thalassa area

In the local area (Puerto Rey) there is a sports & Leisure centre. It has a good gymnasium, which can be used without a membership card. There is a golf driving range, paddle tennis and crazy golf. All equipment can be hired at reasonable rates. On site there is a Cafe/ Bar and a restaurant, which offers both lunchtime and evening meals.

Water Park - Parque Acquatico Vera, is 5 minutes drive from the resort. The Water Park has a wide range of activities suitable for adults and children of all ages. These include: Black hole,Kamikaze, multi-slides, adventure river etc. In addition there is mini-golf, super jumper, mini-park and an amusement arcade.

There are many good beaches in the area, almost 17 kilometres. The beaches in the area are Blue Flag beaches for cleanliness and offer an excellent range of activities in the peak season - jet skiing, paragliding, canoeing, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving.

Garrucha has a harbour and many restaurants and bars on the promenade. Villaricos is a traditional fishing village with an unspoilt golden sandy beach and beach bar. Vera Playa has 6.8km of open clean beach and several beach bars. Nearby is a naturist beach.

Diving/Snorking is available locally and the sea in this area is suited for such activities. A variety of marine life may be observed.

The nearest airport is Almeria which is 45 minutes from the apartment. Flights can be booked through Easyjet, Ryan Air, Monarch or Jet2 and can get flights from Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Birmingham, Leeds/Bradford and Manchester

The second nearest airport is Murcia which is about an hours drive away. You can fly with Easyjet, Ryan Air, Monarch, BmiBaby and Jet2 from Luton, Liverpool, Bournemouth, East Midlands, Stansted, Bristol, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Cardiff, Leeds/Bradford, Belfast and Blackpool

Car hire is available at these airports through Carjet, Solmar, Goldcar and Eurocar. Airport transfers can be arranged by ourselves if preferred. Additional drivers are free with Solmar and normally there is an online discount. Please let us know at the time of booking if you prefer us to arrange airport transfer.
