This 2 bedroom apartment is situated in the Al Andalus Thalassa complex, the apartment offers 2 bedrooms 1 double with en-suite and 1 twin, main bathroom, lounge and dining area and a fully fitted and equipped kitchen. The spacious living/dining room leads onto an attractive terrace which overlooks the beautiful landscaped gardens and swimming pool with spectacular views of the area to the sea.There is a patio table and 4 chairs on the balcony. An underground allocated parking space is also included.

The Costa de Almeria region

The Coast of Almeria has some of the largest and most unspoilt beaches in Andalusia. The Costa de Almeria area is renowned for its fantastic climate boasting over 320 sunny days a year. The climate is perfect all-year round so its the ideal place for a winter break. It is an unspoilt area, yet at the same time it offers anything that you could be need for a holiday.

There are great beaches, restaurants and places of interest to visit including Mini Hollywood, the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Alcazaba castle, Go Karting and the Parque Acuatico water park.

The Vera Playa / Al Andalus Thalassa area

Vera is a delightful typically Spanish town, about a 10 minute drive from your apartment, which is home to a beautiful old town square, gardens and a bullring. It is a vibrant town with plenty of shops, boutiques, fantastic restaurants and a street market on Saturdays.

The apartment is in the seaside resort of Vera Playa which covers the beach area between Puerto Rey and Villaricos. The resort has earned the prestigious blue flag for its 8 km of white sandy beaches. Vera Playa is now becoming an increasingly popular all year round resort both to live and to take a holiday.

Vera Playa also offers the only Water Park in the area, Parque Acuatico. Here you can take a thrilling ride on many of the flumes or sit and relax by one of three swimming pools. There are excellent shoots and slides and a children’s section with a play area with their own water slides, open from May until the end of September. The Water Park is located just 5 minutes drive from the apartment.

About 15 minutes drive away is Garrucha, a beautiful and lively fishing town that still retains much of its original charm. Garrucha has a magnificent beach and promenade with an excellent selection of restaurants and bars with many superb seafood restaurants found along the seafront serving the fresh catch of the day. There is a weekly market on Fridays.

Mojacar Pueblo, the world-famous ancient Moorish village is located on the top of a mountain looking out to sea. You can sit an have coffee and enjoy the views surrounded by the whitewashed properties and narrow streets. There is a street market on Wednesdays. The village ia about 15 minutes from your apartment.

Mojacar Playa is approximately 10 kilometres from the apartment. Here you will find an array of restaurants, bars, shops, banks, nightclubs, most of which are opened all year round. Mojacar Playa also has an excellent sandy beach and long promenade.

All of the above are easy to get to by car, taxi or an excellent local bus service.

The apartment is also ideally situated near three top class 18 hole golf courses and a 9 hole course, all of which can be easily reached within 15 minutes drive, namely Desert Springs, Marina Golf, Valle del Este and Cortijo Grande.

Within 10 minutes drive there is a Go-Karting track that is open all year round, where a great time can be had by all the family.

Mini-Hollywood is a mock-up of an American Wild West village set in the Tabernas Dersert. This set was built for Sergio Leone's A Fistful of Dollars and also used for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and the Magnificent Seven among around 100 other films. It is a great day out for the whole family with entertainment including mock cowboy shoot-outs, performing parrots and a zoo.

Almeria city is a lively, modern and very Spanish commercial centre with a ferry terminal, sports marina and working fishing port. There’s a wealth of historic sites, museums, art galleries, good restaurants and traditional tapas bars.

The Sierra Nevada Mountains, offering excellent hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter, can be reached in 2 hours. Granada is another place of considerable interest that can also be reached in 2 hours.

The nearest airport is Almeria which is approximately 45 minutes from the apartment.

Flight to Almeria can be obtain from Manchester, Gatwick, Stanstead, Luton, Birmingham and Leeds/Bradford Airports. Airlines include Monarch; Jet2; Easyjet and Ryan Air

Murcia airport is about a 1 hr drive away. Flights can be obtained from Luton, Liverpool, Bournemouth, East Midlands, Stansted, Bristol, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Cardiff, Leeds/Bradford, Belfast and Blackpool airports. Airlines include Easyjet, Ryan Air, Monarch, BmiBaby and Jet2.
