About the home

The duplex is located in the quiet, traditional Spanish village of Palomares. Nearby you will find the fishing village of Villaricos and towns of Mojacar and Garrucha with its fishing harbour. The duplex can sleep 6 with one double bed, twin beds and two put you up beds ideal for children, it also has a bathroom upstairs and shower room downstairs, private garden, roof terrace, and own driveway for one car with double wrought iron gates.

This duplex is ideal for families with its communal gardens, two swimming pools, one suitable for children and plenty of areas for that important sunbathing and relaxing. For you golfers there are several golf courses located within a 15-20 minute drive. For you shoppers Mojacar has some great shops, and a visit to the many markets is a must.

This is our home from home in the sun, we lived here for 2 years and we loved it. The duplex is equipped with everything you should need. Many of our friends accompany us on our holidays so a second duplex in the same area can be arranged, just ask for more details.

We have a large tv in the living room which has many sky channel, also there is a dvd player and a selection of dvds for all the family. If the sun gets to much and you fancy some indoor enterainment we have a selection of books, games and a playstation 2 with many games. All the furnishing are comfortable and new, ceiling and free standing fans are in all rooms.

We take a lot of pride in our house and regulary purchase new linen, towels, and anything else that needs replacing, you will find nothing tattey and old in our house.

Further details outdoors:
The complex has a well maintained and landscaped gardens. The pools are professionally cleaned daily and unlimited use is allowed. The pool areas have gated access and the complex is operated by a automated gate access which is operated from within the duplex. The pool area also has two toilets and three showers.

We have a bar b que for that outdoor eating, with outdoor patio dining furniture as well as 4 sun loungers and chairs.

The Cosy Casa is a STRICTLY NO SMOKING PROPERTY, if you wish to smoke please do so in outside areas and using ashtrays provided.

Refundable breakages and damages deposit of £150.00 is required before arrival, and will be returned within 2 weeks of your departure (subject to a property inspection)
£100 non refundable booking deposit required, and balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival.

The Costa de Almeria region

This is the driest part of Europe with most sun hours in a year. There are no high rise buildings to spoil the views. Palomares was once an agricultural village, but now is one of the last parts of Spain to be developed. Mojacar Playa has many bars and restaurants with many types of food to choose from, Mojacar Pueblo is known as (the old town) and has 500 years of historical history, it sits high on a hill and has little cobble streets with little craft shops, bars and restaurants.

The neighbouring villages of Villaricos and Garrucha are both fishing villages with their own harbours. You can walk along the promenade to Vera Playa which has its own naturists area complete with their own bar. The city of Almeria is worth a visit and this is where you will find the Alcazaba Castle further south of Almeria City is the resort of Roquetas de Mar.

The temperatures in the summer months can reach as high as 40oc so we recommend you use a high factor sun screen.

The Vera Playa / Palomares area

This area offers a number of various activities such as scuba diving, walking, fishing (boat and land) and quad bike treks, scooter and cycle hire. There are other facilities such as tennis, gym, golf. Quad bike treks are available in the mountains of 1 and 3 hour duration or longer.

There are numerous golf courses in the area including the famous Desert Springs it is only a 5 min drive away, as well as this course there is Cortijo Grande, Marina Golf, Mojacar, La Envia and Andalucia Golf. This area of Spain is quieter than other parts, and is typically spanish, but there is nightlife and other evening activities locally and in Mojacar.

The Cabreran Mountains can be seen behind the coastline and villages and with its varied sandy beaches and beautiful views this really is an idyllic place to come.

Almeria Airport is the nearest, with a 45 min drive away, Murcia (San Javier) is about 1 hour on the new AP7 toll motorway, the cost is €11.50 during the day, also Alicante is 2 hours drive. Easyjey, Ryanair and Monarch fly to Almeria. BMI from Manchester also flys to Alicante, Jet2 from Leeds Bradford, Ryanair, Jet2, Easyjet and others fly into Murcia and Alicante.

We would recommend you hire a care, there are many companies to choose from book one via www.carjet.co.uk they are a good and cheap.

There are also taxis,s available from the airport cost being around €60 from Almeria. There is also a transfer service from Almeria with Tarleton Travel

“My favourite holiday so far” stayed with my husband and 3 children aged 7- 14. this place is one of the most gorgeous place i have ever stayed in my life, it is suitable for everyone, those who like walks and views or those who love sitting by the pool and going out on a night. the villa is amazing, so roomy and has everything you possibly need with neighbors around you that are very lovely and are willing to help, the pool is right outside the house and so no need to carry everything to the pool with you. the town is so lovely and welcoming with a lovely pub called the oasis with a lovely owner (english) no language difficulties. i have to say this is one of my favourite holidays ever, it has beaches so close, many restaurants within walking distance and within a 20 minute drive and less and there is a waterpark 15 minutes away and 2 supermarkets very close both superb. A lovely place, thinking of buying in the area we loved it so much. i would recommend this place to everyone if you have never been you should deffiantly go at least once in your life. :D

“Lovely house in a peaceful complex” Went away with a group of friends and had a great holiday staying in this beautiful house. Furnishings were lovely and everything we needed was provided in the house. Loved having the swimming pool right outside the house in a secure area only accessible by residents. Also, the private terrace overlooking the swimming pool was perfect for late evenings and sangria. Very close to the beach and within easy reach of some lovely Spanish towns. Tapas in the village square also went down a treat. Would highly recommend this vacation rental for families and friends.
