Located within the small gated community of Al Andalus Hills, this new, fully-equipped first-floor holiday apartment (built 2006) is surrounded by landscaped gardens and play areas, overlooking the two outdoor pools and within easy reach of 7km of blue-flag beaches running from Puerto Rey and Vera Playa to Mojacar. Please note that the indoor heated pool is currently undergoing maintenance, and will not be available until further notice.
The apartment, which sleeps 4 people, is easily reached from airports at Almeria or Murcia San Javier, and is ideal for a family holiday, a relaxing break or as a base for exploring the area. With local watersports facilities, horse riding and go-karting, plus three 18-hole golf courses within 10km, there is plenty nearby for the active holidaymaker. And with a fully-equipped kitchen (including dishwasher and microwave) there's no need to leave home comforts behind.

If you stay at our apartment you can be assured that you don't need to take ANYTHING except clothes and beach towels - we have equipped it with all those little things that normally fill your luggage, like hairdrier, clothes hangers, iron (and ironing board), UK plug adapters, there's usually even a reserve of teabags!

Al Andalus Hill is a small development of about 150 apartments surrounded by beautifully designed landscaped gardens. Guests have access to two outdoor pools (one for children), open May to September, and a heated indoor swimming pool (October to April), plus green recreational and play areas. PLEASE NOTE - Indoor pool closed for repairs Oct 2011 to Apr 2012
There are a variety of attractions within walking distance, including Vera Playa Water Park (open May-Sept), and a new sports complex at Puerto Rey offers a golf driving range and Tennis courts. The 7km long sandy beach is less than 10 minutes walk from the apartment, and offers a range of watersports.
There are three top-quality golf courses within easy reach. Closest are the Valle del Este and Marina Golf, Mojacar Playa, The famous Desert Springs course is located a few kilometres north, and the developing Cortijo Grande 9-hole course is about the same distance south.

The Costa de Almeria region
Costa Almeria has the benefit of the lowest rainfall and the highest sunshine records for the whole of Spain. Together with the superb beaches, there are the attractions of the wild Natural Park of Cabo De Gata, the historic town of Granada is a few hours drive, and there is even skiing at Pradollano in the Sierra Nevada mountains, less than 2 hours away.
The Vera Playa / Al Andalus Hills area
A variety of attractions lie within a short distance. Visit the original set used for filming A Fistful of Dollars in the 1960’s at Mini-Hollywood, go horse-riding or trekking, scuba diving or water skiing, or spend the day splashing around at Vera Playa AquaPark.
Slightly further afield the typically Spanish town of Vera (6km) is an extremely popular market town, which has both history and shopping in abundance. To the south, Garrucha is a bustling fishing port with a host of shops and restaurants, whilst a little further along the coast Mojacar offers a more traditionally British concept of a Spanish resort. Inland, the picturesque Moorish hill village of Mojacar Pueblo is well worth a visit. All the local towns have fiestas and market days.

Vera Playa is easily reached from Almeria (80km) or Murcia San Javier (100km) airports. Almeria Airport is served by a number of scheduled and budget airlines flying from Manchester, Gatwick, Stansted, Birmingham and Dublin, while Murcia San Javier Airport has flights from all of these plus numerous other UK and Irish Airports. Hire cars can be booked to be collected from either airport, and our apartment is about 1 hour drive from Almeria Airport (exit 529) , or about 80 mins from Murcia San Javier on the new A-7 toll road.

Property in very good position over looking the pool with a good outside balcony. Short walk to the beach & bars in the area.
Security & parking good. Comfortable beds & clean linen. Small but well equipped kitchen.

Peter and Mandy, apartment owners, are really friendly and very efficient, we were greeted by an English couple, Dave and Anita who looked after us very well when we arrived. Nothing was any trouble even down to giving directions and advice during our stay. The apartment was ideal for us although would easily accommodate a family of four. We woke every morning in the peaceful complex and enjoyed our breakfast on the balcony terrace over looking the swimming pool and communal gardens it was beautiful. The complex is situated just a few km from the main beaches and holiday attractions in garrucha and mojacar and the water park. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return this year and next. The apartment had everything you would need even down to Lilo's and a bucket and shade for the little ones. Thank you Peter and Mandy again for sorting this out for us soo quickly and efficiently, very professional and friendly. All the best for the rest of 2012 hope you speak soon to book again.

A good apartment on a nice development. Apartment overlooks the pool, and is walking distance to beach. Complex very quiet when we visited (late Sept). Walking distance to good bar and restaurant, and 5 mins drive to reasonably new Mercadona which makes catering easy. The apartment is not cramped, but outside space is limited. However the air conditioning to both bedrooms and lounge would be very useful in the summer.
