Positioned in a quiet, tucked away location in Ventnor, it combines charm with town centre convenience. The beach is only a five-minute walk away and the centre of Ventnor with local shops, supermarket, cafes and restaurants a few minutes’ stroll
It has a large comfortable family lounge with stable door leading to a peaceful garden with lawn and paved area with table and chairs for enjoying the sunshine. The house is tastefully decorated with local photographs and the owners have left a selection of books, DVDs and games for all ages.

Duvets and duvets covers are on all the beds, please bring own sheets, pillowcases, towels and tea towels. There is a travel cot and highchair provided.
Pets are not permitted and the owners have requested that visitors do not smoke in the property.

The Island has plenty to keep the family entertained including; a variety of beaches, leisure centres, golf courses, heritage sites, a zoo, Theme Park, Amazon World and museums. A perfect location for outdoor pursuits; walking, cycling, fishing, riding, golf and watersports.
The Ventnor area
There is off road parking for one car and there is also a local council car park close to the premises, should further parking be required. There is a patio area to the rear of the property, which is fully enclosed and is perfect for storing bicycles and inflatables etc.
The Cottage is positioned in a tucked away location of Ventnor with the beach only being a five-minute walk from the property. The town centre is only a few minutes stroll away with local shops, supermarket, chemist, cafés and takeaways.

Have stayed at this cottage a few times before but this time the weather made it perfect in the sea at Ventnor beach quite a few times blue sky from Monday through to Saturday quiet front garden where we all sat every morning |

Just return from a very plesant stay at Orchard Cottage. The house itself is a very good size and housed 6 of us in comfort. The bedrooms are fairly basic but perfectly functional and all 3 are a good size. One thing to note is that the staircase is narrow and windy so not great for toddlers or the elderly although we had both in our party and managed OK. The space outside is less succesful. The courtyard at the back of the house is useful for storing beach things but nothing else. The lawned area in front of the house looks quite pleasant but is very overlooked and full of midges so you couldn't really sit out in it. We planned to eat out every evening so wasn't a problem but if you wanted a bbq or anything like that you'd struggle. Having a parking space was great, quite a narrow lane so you have to either reverse in or out of the lane but not a problem. Beach and town are 5 minutes walk away. The walk down to the beach is via quite a lot of steeeps and then a very steep road so we found it easier, with young children and grandma, to walk through the town and down to the beach that way. This still involes a fairly step walk down (and up) but is a lot more managable and has seats if anyone needs to catch their breath. Overall had a great time and would recommend for anyone wishing to stay in Ventnor. |
